Per their World Anvil profile, Angelica and Anton's father is a diplomat who frequently relocated during their childhood - A camera of 20th-century vintage was one of the items that the 23rd-century heroine Aries discovered inside a mysterious canister in Video #18 (Key Paradox) - The copy of The Painted Veil that can be seen on the bookshelf was another of the objects in the canister found in Video #18; there was a dried jasmine flower pressed between its pages - Aries also found a Rubik's Cube like the one seen behind Angelica among the possessions of the POV character in Video #6 (Takeoff) - Several of Stephen King's books can also be seen on the bookshelf; Angelica mentioned her appreciation for his work in Video #21 (Classroom) - The professor that Angelica wants to approach at the party is Professor Lamari; in Video #21 she decided to ask Lamari to supervise the psychology project that she and the POV character are working on - 'Witchcraft as a Form of Escapism' - Angelica refers to William Moulton Marston, the psychologist who created Wonder Woman and an early prototype of the polygraph test - Angelica mentions her sound collection; an eighties-style cassette tape was yet another of the items found inside the canister in Video #18 - Just visible on the shelf above the mirror is the mysterious Book that was left for Anna in Video #16 (At the Royal Ball); several of its pages were also found inside the canister in Video #18

In the 80’s I was a young teen, and I must say that this is spot on. The hair, the clothes and makeup (blue eyeshadow was huge back then), even the posters on the wall. Amazing video, it made me long for those days, where responsibility and having to deal with adult life wasn’t an issue.

I was a teen in the 80s and no. She'd have had a tight curly perm, probably highlighted and used a lot of wet look gel. Curlers would only have been used by someone much older. If she didn't have the perm it would have been crimpers and backcombing. Electric blue eyeliner and mascara were very in, eye shadow only for older people.

I cant get over how realistic every single roleplay is. The little details matter so much like how she applys makeup AROUND the camera (instead of in front of the camera like every other asmrtist) just like if you were actually getting your makeup done. Ive never been more proud to be subscriber.

If you want the real 1980's experience, watch this in 144p. I also like the posters and wall art. The first is the reference to ELO, who released a sci-fi album called "Time" and the reference to Highlander, who could be seen as a forward moving time traveller, because he is immortal (until someone chops his head off). I also noticed the rubik's cube which could be a reference to another video you did set in the future and find it curious that you included an ABBA poster, who were popular more in the 1970's. Maybe you chose it because their logo is an Ambigram, which means the word has meanings when seen from multiple perspectives. Or maybe I should skip that second glass of wine, and am reading much too much into this...

Edit: She is self-taught!! Actually, Anastasia already has these skills from film production- it’s a result of education, and she then decided to make a solo career if you will - out of this instead of traditional acting. I read this in another comment section of hers so the information is second hand, sorry. But she definitely comes from professional grounds. This is how she knows how to control advanced Adobe products with a little to none known team if we assume her solo work is completely done by her. It hints of years of previous professional education, and that is definitely impressive. Many people with talent for acting and/or editing choose the traditional career paths, but not her. This is amazing!!

Is Anastasia a Stephen King fan? Two of his books are clearly displayed on the shelf. Looks like "The Langoliers" on the left and "Night Shift" in the center. After noticing those, I think I was able to pick out "The Dark Half" and "Tommyknockers" on the left as well. There is also some narrative similarity to King's Dark Tower series. Not only is that a narrative that ties together all of his other works through some multidimensional / time travel stuff, but the main way people travel through these worlds is through freestanding doors, often found in the middle of nowhere (see, The Drawing of the Three). Anna finds such a door in the in of "In a Mysterious Forest" linking her directly to Amanita. I'm probably reading into this too much, but there's some solid similarities here. Regardless, the quality of these videos dwarfs all other ASMR content out there. Come to be relaxed, stay to unravel a complex narrative interwoven throughout time and space with the cinematic quality of short films. Truly a gift.

The hair part reminds me of my mom. She's a hairdresser that was studying in high school during the 80's and she told me stories about how she and her classmates would have competitions for who could make bangs curled and stand up the highest and also for who could make the most volume.

This gave me really nice nostalgia for being a teenager in the 90s, actually. Even though the aesthetic is 80s, it made me flash back to how quiet and intimate it was to hang out with your friend, messing around with hair and makeup, with nothing urgent weighing on you. Now, with cellphones, it feels like we always have the exterior world intruding into our homes. People talk about how children are losing their opportunities to play, but not enough about how teenagers, too, need to play, albeit in different ways, trying out different identities and being foolish, without always having it captured and reflected back to them in social media.

The Catwoman costume dance (and sounds!) were comically amazing! Love all the details in this, including the fact that we can just barely see the top of “our” head of hair in the bottom right corner of the mirror!

The set design and costuming that goes into these vids, not even to speak of the excellent sound design (so tingly!) is just phenomenal - you might think it simple but to make something today that looks just like it's literally ripped out of another decade, unbelievable. That's a vintage Cosmo mag. Real 80s curlers. She put ELO in cut out letters on the wall! Be still my ancient heart

처음부터 팅글 진짜 넘 좋아요ㅜㅜ 살짝 아마니타가 저랑 탐험떠나기 전에 스크롤받고 분장 받은곳 그곳에서 준비하는 느낌이 나서 더 좋은거 같아요.. 거기 붓터치랑 지도 그리기 때문에 아직도 영상안에 박혀있는데.. 이런영상이라니 사랑해요

Right below the lamp and the ABBA album is the copy of "The Painted Veil" that Aries pulls from the canister in "The Key Paradox". It's just barely sticking out of the shelf, but I'm pretty sure that's the one. I wonder when/why the flower gets put in the book. Looks like at least three things from this time are in the container (camera, cassette, and book). I'm really interested in where the 80s and Aries stories go from here.

@@mariana5011 @Mike Martin I believe it all goes back to the lamp Amanita found, and it all takes place in the same universe. Only future episodes/chapters will give us the full picture, as I believe the Medieval and 19th century 'Books' are not yet finished, i.e. reuniting with Amanita, and going to the Greene Archive.

@@mariana5011 First: We gave the seamstress Some not-amethyst for buttons for the purse, which started to glow right before the door appeared, then she used one to open it, and we see Amanita (the same event when she saw Anna in the Baba Yaga episode). Second: I understand where you are coming from in regards to watching the episodes in order of release. However I watched the Sci-fi episodes first, then Medieval, then 19th Century, then 80s. I understand they aren't finished, so there is still much we don't know, ie the wishes, the Book, and what she learns about magic in the 80s. Third: Please watch/re-watch Aries: Head Surgery, and Key Paradox. She talks about time travel in Head Surgery, and uses the Key which was given to us in the Medieval episode Preparing For A Treasure Hunt, "Take this. You will need it."

Honestly, this one is one of my favorites from her channel. The tingles are especially tingly in this one lol. And even though I have this saved in my asmr sleep playlist, I can never fall asleep because her videos are so Immersive. You just get sucked into the stories. Also, does anyone miss the 80’s or wish they were actually old enough to remember the 80’s? Cause I was baby I don’t remember shit lol. I remember the 90s well enough. Oh god those curlers though. I definitely remember my mom doing my hair with those.

So for some reason I always cry at these videos, it’s like a strange emotional release every time. This video too. At the start, I was crying because it was perfect, but also because I tingled so much.
