Great Big Story

Күн бұрын

How much would you realistically pay for a pound of potatoes? A few dollars? Well, you won’t believe how much these expensive spuds once fetched at auction. These artisanal vegetables are grown in sandy soil fertilized by seaweed on an island off the Atlantic coast of France. They’re so delicate they must be harvested by hand, and they’re only available 10 days a year. These are the Bonnottes de Noirmoutier, and they are one of a kind.

No, actually i've eaten it in a restaurant in Bordeaux and seen 2 french cookbooks that said those potatoes are really good, high quality even! 100 grams of butter mixed with these potatoes (400 grams); mix them until you get to see that they are starting to smooth out. Lastly and some milk. Damn it was one of the most tastiest things i've ever tried in France. I was once never a fan of mashed potatoes but, when I trued that potato.... it was heaven. Btw mash the potato first lol.

So, just an island potato that can be harvested for a small time frame each year? Okay... Well, White Chuño potatoes only grow on the mountains of Boliva and Peru, they are harvested by hand and need to be frozen before consumption, they can be harvested only during a month and the process between harvesting them and getting them ready for consumption takes about a month. The royal potatoes fit for the the Emperor of the Inca.

Omelette au fromage, supreme leader, because *the adjective "at" functions as a kind of hyphen that separates two nouns that don't intuitive go together.* Otherwise, "de/de la/du" would literally mean "from", so you'd be saying "omelette (literally came from) cheese", rather than "made out of cheese".

When i was in Asia, my godmother would always bring these exotic and expensive mushrooms that she somehow had a surplus amount lying around. The look similar to a oyster mushroom but not, they are massive and have a distinct flavor of fish(not in a bad way). They bring dishs with soooo much flavor and we would cook it with herbs, vegetables and sauces
