Happy new month! We've entered the second month of Thirsty Thursday, my mini series where I'm sharing summertime drinky drinks!

✹Ingredients✹
1.5 oz tequila
1 oz pickle brine
1 oz lime juice
3/4 oz triple sec
a lil bit of agave nectar to taste
sugar + pickle punch for the rim
✹Instructions✹
Sprinkle a little sugar and pickle salt onto a plate. Mix!
Swipe a lil lime wedge onto the rim of your glass. Press the rim onto the sugar/salt mixture. Set your glass aside or pop into the fridge/freezer to chill.
To a shaker with ice (or jar lol) add the tequila, pickle brine, lime juice, triple sec, and agave nectar (or simple syrup). Shake it up!
Add ice to your chilled glass, pour in the margarita and enjoy!

Pickles are absolutely a Texas thing. Cuz I left Austin thinking it was normal to go to the movie theater and order a pickle, and I have been looked at crazy from Florida, to California, to Virginia, “…Like hamburger pickles?…” 👧🏾Nevermine. Just a nacho please.

I also studied abroad in Brazil! Once while out in Salvador, a man made me a drink that I want to say was called a “Nevada” that was basically the Swiss lemonade + rum. That was almost 10 years ago and it’s still one of the best drinks I’ve ever had.

As the kid of someone who grew up in Baltimore City on the edge of a large Jewish community (Pikesville), my grandma and mom practically lived at the local delis and always came home with the fat pickles that you grab out of a barrel of brine. This recipe intrigues me, but Ik the tequila and triple sec would sit on the top of my fridge collecting dust 😂 Maybe I'll look into the non-alcoholic options. Thanks for another drink rec!
