FYI these tips are 100% plastic. [YN] Young Nails had a chemist test them and they are 100% plastic. Apres is playing semantics because what is melted plastic? And what IS soft gel? Soft gel is melted plastic that can be molded and cured and so they are taking what WE all know soft gel to be in the nail industry and theyre playing on that and misleading us by letting us think that these are made with the soft gel that WE know in the nail industry. Because again, in reality, soft gel IS plastic and plastic, when melted, IS plastic. Also if you want to avoid “seepage” lol dont use so much extend gel. use less, and when you are placing the tip on your nail start at the cuticle first and then slowly lay the nail down, oh and place the extend gel in a TINY bead at the cuticle end of the tip that you are gonna be placing on your nail. It also helps if you paint and cure a layer or two of the extend gel on your natural nail before putting gel on the ail enhancement and attaching to your finger, make sure to turn the light on first before you start working on the next nail. Do your best to not get the extend gel on your skin..

Hi Vanessa Happy New Year! I the Apre soft gels they are definitely tricky at first but so easy in the long run. I have a few different styles from both Apre and Enailcouture. These make doing my own nails quick and easy! Can’t wait to see part 2!

I love the apres system I’ve been using it for years, there is definitely a learning curve but once you get it, it’s amazing, you also only need to use very little gel to avoid the overflow, I also got an awesome hands free lamp from amazon that makes self application a breeze, so glad you tried these, love your videos

So there is a learning curve! I don’t apply the gel all the way up to the cuticle, the gel on the tip is enough for the cuticle area. The other thing to look out for is to make sure the nail size you choose actually goes to the sidewalls, and when you’re positioning the tip pay attention to the free edge so they aren’t pointing in weird directions or tilted! While I love a sculpture nail, for myself I don’t have time for that so the gel tips are a GAME CHANGER!!!!

Really great video. I too have issues with getting the Gel-x on with the gel and getting it under the lamp, all without spilling. I have a tip if you’re interested. After applying the base gel on the nail, I have been using Vetsy UV Hard Glue gel. It is such a game changer and it really stays in place. I think it pats longer too. Curious what you think of it if you decide to check it out, cheers.

You leave the gel on the natural nails wet? I always cure the gel first, then add the wet gel nail tip to the cured natural nail.

Hi Vanessa is this not the same as the protein bond? Do u think I could just go In with a dehydrator and then protein bond then extend gel? Or are these steps wrong
