My favorite alternative to Mylar is self adhesive laminate sheet …. You can get clear or more fun sheets like glitter or holographic

Great review. Good idea suggesting acetate. It’s works somewhat. I’m hoping the acetate works.

Vianney, so glad you tried these generic button refills so soon after you showed your first video! I already have the WRMK button press and have had good success with round refills from Chi on Amazon. They don’t have a good price on their heart shaped refills (high cost on shipping) and I saw this brand you tried, but so glad you tried them out first! I bought the heart set right after I watched your first video. Thanks so much for testing these items for us and sharing your reviews! I use my Cricut to cut out my cardstock rounds, so I might try that for the acetate toppers as well.

Ohhhh so cute!! 🤩Too bad the mylar was a little off. I kinda thought that's what is cool about buttons, the protective plastic 😆 I suppose if it's not going to get wet, it's not a big deal

Is Mylar the Sam as acetate sheets I’d say use the tool to cut your own or you can trim it…. Yes that’s exactly what I was saying you’ll have to try it out again lol 😂

Is the cutting die and plate compatible with other button makers or only works with WRMK button maker?

Great video… I wonder if your papers is thicker than copy paper.. maybe that’s why it didn’t catch… it has happened with my projects I’m purchasing anyway! You should at least get the credit for doing the video. I’ve purchased the 1.5 round generic brand and they work great. Thank you

I think is the metal parts are the problem I used the Mylar from the Amazon brand with the original WRMK and it works well.

The link you have here for the heart shaped refills takes us to the round shape. Do you have another link to use?

I'm sorry, the heart shape goes in and out of stock with that same link. The different options will be there, including the heart if in stock.

LOL! Fair enough! I do love the heart shape, but at WRMK's $1 a pop and sometimes they don't work...I just had to try for a more cost effective option. I don't mind messing with these more, but if you don't have the machine...a hard pass would not surprise me! (;

It is sad that the mylar does not work that great in the We R Memory Keepers machine no matter which set one uses. I guess I will try not to use it. I do plan to decorate with Stickles or crystal clear liquid. I can’t remember the name of it!

The exact number is needed for the heart shaped blanks since the link only brings up round ones.

The link used to include the heart shape blanks...looks like that listing is out right now. Like you said, only the round ones are currently available.
