The Sisu is written in old finnish letters so it kinda looks like Gifu when its actually Sisu

These old letters were used all over Europe . They are called fraktur.

The first letter could be S but it looks more like G The third letter is no way an S so in my opinion its Gifu

The Sisu packaging is using a "font" that is based on Fraktur instead of the nowadays more common Antiqua, which is why it looks like it reads "Gifu" instead of "Sisu". The history of Fraktur vs. Antiqua is actually surprisingly eventful, and I'd recommend any word-nerds to look into it.

Hotness in candies are usually pretty mild they are hot for people who are sensitive to spicy and hot food/candy but if you eat them pretty often you are going to get used to it being spicy and it starts to become mild

My generation still remembers the Lontoo rae commercials from the 1980's with British actor Bob Grant who was best known for the 1970's comedy series "On the buses". The series was broadcasted in Finland with the name "Mennään bussilla" in the 1970's, and later in 1990's.

You should try "Lempeä vadelma" (Mild raspberry) by Poppamies or "Manalan makeiset (-mix)" or "Synkkä salmiakki" (Grim salmiakki) by same company.

Sisu Horna mixxed with alcohol is the best. Add three bags of Sisu Horna crushed into a bottle of Bacardi white rum and let it sit couple of days. Shake well and serve chilled. Best freaking shot ever!

Use those colorful Turkish Peppers by mixing them into vodka. Buy around 80-100g of one color (from pick&mix) and mix it to 0,5l of koskenkorva/suomi viina and let the candy dissolve. So good and it's called Hedelmäpommi (fruitbomb)

@@Jyrkkanenelmeri laitat aina vaan yhtä väriä 80-100g ja sitten siihen pulloon menee varmaan 4,5dl kirkasta. Sitten teet jokaisesta väristä oman pullon :) Oma suosikki on punainen näistä

I like how responsible cocoa farming is just an added bonus, not what people actually want or except, but I’m really proud of Fazer if they’re not using child labor so I don’t have to feel quilt for my cravings 😌

You HAVE to try the Horna Shot! Basically you mix 2 bags of Sisu Horna to 0,5 liter of vodka and shake until it's all liquid. Same for Hetu, where you put the colored Turkin Pippuri bag (except for the brown ones) and again, shake til it's liquid.

Since you two seem to really enjoy chocolate, I'd recommend a trip to Estonia. In Tartu there is chocolate-shops (Kalev for example) and they also have craft beers etc. :) I'm more than happy to be a guide (I'm a Finn studying veterinary medicine in Tartu Maaülikool). And the colorful Turkinpippuri are the best! =)

En olisi yllättynyt, vaikka samoja karkkeja myytäisiin Saksassa (ja muualla) eri nimellä. Voivat tietysti olla (osittain) tilaustuotteitakin. Vaikea niitä on pitää suomalaisina, jos niissä ei ole muuta suomalaista kuin tekstit paketin kyljessä.

@@herrakaarme Tuotekehitys ja brändi on suomalaista mutta valmistetaan Saksassa niin lasken sen silti suomalaiseksi. Suomessa valmistaminen on niin kallista että lähes pakko valmistaa muualla

Saksassa valmistetaan joko siksi, että sieltä löytyi valmis tuote, jonka saattoi vain pakata haluamallaan tavalla vaivatta, tai voittojen maksimoimiseksi. Ulkomaisen elintarvikkeen laskemisessa suomalaiseksi on omat sääntönsä. Uudelleen pakkaaminen ei riitä (olettaen, että Poppamiehen makeiset on pakettu uudelleen Suomessa).

Those Megahot turkinpippurit are actually somewhat hot. Just need to remember that they are not supposed to be Poppamies products and turkinpippuri is still candy for all ages. Don't think deeper explanation is needed. If someone didn't get the point, then it's "voi voi".

I love the hot&sour turkinpippuri, it's not too hot (I can't handle hot), even the normal is too hot for me. And I have honestly never understood the point of salted caramel. I just don't like the taste of it. I like my candy sweet, the saltiness just throws me off.

Sisu horna a car candy??? Excuse me? I can’t focus on anything else when I have opened a bag of them so I wouldn’t have them as car candy when driving.. also they are so good I could just pour the whole bag into my mouth and they don’t last long. Var candy needs to be something you can eat one or two at the time and then go a while without any before taking next. I can’t take breaks with sisu horna I need to take next right after finishing the other. They sure are like drungs or something and I’m addicted.
