You were soooooo lucky, Voxy. The minion you dug out first, the taunt that gives blood gems, is a super lucky find, especially when the upgrade card gives you the best quilboar in the game! You misplayed so much, though. So, so, so much. But hey, it's your second real attempt, so that's no wonder! You were clearly starting to understand things in the middle, then you just stopped caring after you began winning, which is such a bad move to make! You kept weak minions that did nothing for you, while keeping extremely strong minions in your hand (or leaving them unbought in the tavern -- Charlga is the second-best quilboar, and you didn't even notice it!). You should always seek to upgrade your board, because your opponents will do the same! You can never guarantee that because you won the previous turn, you're going to win again.

:D Battlegrounds is very much a knowledge game so scoring first in game two is POG. now for vague advise you didn't ask for 😂: 1) Plan your gold the price to level tavern goes down by one each turn, you reserve goes up by one each turn, buying is 3 gold, selling nets 1 gold. there are several natural curves that you'll discover as you play. 🤔 2) Several tribes have "when you play another", "when you sell" or "battlecry" so you often need a space on the board to cycle through these effects. don't get attached to all 7 of your minions 💔 3) When your in the later stages of a game (10 gold each turn) your looking for 2-3 things each refresh: - Tier 5-6 minions that can continually improve your board - Triples to help free up board space AND get a free minion from a tier higher - [Advanced concept] Answers to other players warbands. Honestly though, you've got an amazing game sense, you don't forget level the tavern and your looking for synergy. Well done on the win

You did great, Voxy, but I think that, as a first time player, there was one big game-changing tactic you missed. You get a triple or you sell a minion to make space on your board, now you have free space on your board. Then you play all battlecry minions you have in your hand and you immediately sell them to make space for the next. And only when you're done you play the card you wanted to play, filling the board again.

Was hilarious as always. ;) Just as a point of BattleGrounds stat expectations calibration, since twitch chat were talking about a 'big' BG minion being 100/100 ... they're kinda lowballing it. I finished a BG game earlier with two of my minions having over 10,000 health each. And I would not consider myself a good BG player. That's the kind of stat scaling BG can get into once you get into lategame. 😀

Glad your initial experience with BG seemed positive. If you needed an incentive to play it more most of your boyfriends are available as heroes, and Wonderous Wisdomball is a quest reward.

It feels so frustrating not being able to tell her what to do. It really triggers me that she keeps the Moon-Bacon Jazzer in hand for the entire game. Just sell the crappy Razorfen Geomancer to have a spot to play minions on, so that minions don't get stuck in hand...

Yeah I like Voxy a lot but that was tough to watch. It's a streamer thing though, you have to remember about half her brain is acting and maintaining personality for the stream, monitoring chat, and probably monitoring her stream software and setup. She doesn't have as much time to read as a normal player who isn't trying to entertain people. Source: I'm a streamer.

The 1st common mistake that new player on BG do is chasing triple instead of strengthening their board, which is fine as you play more. Tip: if you want to learn from fellow female streamer, Slysssa is a good player to learn about BG.

It killed me watching nobody explain very simple rules: Buy minions for 3 gold Sell them for 1 gold Triples become a single big minion Big Minions go in the front Buy the same general types of minions Sell weak minions when you’re full on space. (Its not much of a loss)

Book of heros and book for mercs are both very garbage and i havent even finished them. This comes from someone who loves pve content, i've done every boss on heroic with every class/deck/hero power combination possible.

I'm not sure Voxy would enjoy the Book of Heroes and Book of Mercenaries like the other solo modes. Heroes / Mercenaries are more story driven than real challenges that it's predecessors were.
