Hi Dr.D- living in Arizona, heat is the killer of fragrance- although it is pretty to keep on display, I rather they not “turn” so I keep my bottles on my refrigerator door. I decant into the small atomizers you can get at Amazon, to carry with me in makeup bag, but I find the bottles last when kept cold…. For hot weather, I cannot get enough of Jo Malone Lime Basil Mandarin!

Yes, rambutans are different from lychees. And those are also different from longans. They are all very similar but distinctive fruits. All these are tropical fruit that I remember from my childhood in Singapore. I like to eat them whenever I travel back to Asia🛩🩷

My granddad used to grow sugar cane (in NW Florida). They'd harvest the juice and keep it in the fridge as a refreshing beverage. It has some nutritional benefits and is not as sweet as you might think in its raw form (I wasn't sure I liked the taste as a kid, though).

The blue dress with yellow adornments is a great color combination. About Women's perfume, for warmer weather I'd suggest Givenchy's L'Interdit EDT. To be fair, all of the L'Interdit fragrances are absolutely wonderful to my nose. The EDT is just the most fresh.

I think you would love Dolce and Gabana Light Blue. It has a citrusy top notes then dries down to s light woodsy. It’s my favorite for warm weather.

Atopic dermatitis here and I have issues with both IgE allergies and contact dermatitis in regard to foods. I get the itchy lips, mouth and throat if I eat melons and fresh peaches and related fruits. Peeling potatoes results in finger dermatitis. More fun!

@drdray yes I have Oral allergy syndrome. I have it with raw carrots and root vegetables like beets. If they’re cooked it’s fine. I have eczema too (just getting over an outbreak on my eyelids).

You can try jackfruit. It's sweet and tastes good. You can also roast the jackfruit seeds and eat them, however please take the outer skin out. And custard apple can taste very sweet when fully ripe. 😊

I appreciate your tangent! This is the first time I've heard of delayed type hypersensitivity reaction. I think it explains my reaction to berries. I can have berries, but I can't have them every day. For example, if I have strawberries 3 days in a row (I love berries for dessert and I can eat a bunch) by day 4 I will have a rash all over my arms. Thank you!

Carthusia isn’t really meant to last. ”Mediterraneo” does reapply without a lot of distortion. If you want a similar but longer lasting scent try Nishane “Ambra Calabria” it lasts really well in the heat and stays fresh. They are fragrance discounters that sell this for less than MRP.

Ooohhh that tropical food store looks amazing. Star Apples are grown in my country and are plentiful at the moment. Be sure that you are eating them when they are ripe soft to the touch and best to scoop out the fruit wwith a spoon. Tamarind juice is delicious (you walked right past the pods). Dont drink too much it will give you diarrhea. Sugar cane is yummy. If you can get it already peeled, give it a try. Sour sop is good if you buy it really, really ripe then eat as is. Otherwise you can make it into a drink with water and condensed milk. If you can get sweet sop, and they are ripe, you may not want ro eat anything else, ever. They are my favorite fruit after really ripe mangos.

Hi doc happy Sunday I have low porosity hair and flaky, dandruff scalp many derms recommend to use zinc pyrithione and ketoconazole lotion for hair growth and to treat dandruff , last but not the least use Aha and BHA once a week to exfoliate the scalp do .I need to use clarifying shampoo for my low porosity hair ,or these two guys are good enough zinc pyrithione and ketoconazole lotion are good to clarify scalp ?? thanks a lot doc

Exotic fruits have always irritated my skin around my mouth. When I was 5, they told me it was an alergy.. alongside wallnuts, nuts, and poppy seeds!! I cannot even smell it. but the worst are apples 🍎 but as you said once cooked it is ok! And my skin hates fragrance too! And litchi irritates me as well… 😢

II have a very difficult time with many perfumes and fragrances. I tend to be highly sensitive to them. A really strong fragrance will give me a migraine. I have always done well with Amazing Grace by Philosophy. It's a very light and "powdwery". scent, so it doesn't bother me as much. I also do quite well with Red Door from Elizabeth Arden. Not sure why, but it's always been one that I can tolerate quite well.

I too love Amazing Grace, so light and feminine. I also like Philosophy's Pure Grace---it smells like you just stepped out of the shower after using Ivory soap. Both are great for Summer.

Interesting fruit I should try. I feel like sometimes frozen mango tastes or smells like fish. I haven't had papaya very much. But I like fresh mango and doesn't seem to taste like or smell like fish. I hadn't heard anyone else mention that fishy smell about fruit but me. Oranges make my mouth itch sometimes. As far as perfume, I have such a hard time trying to wear it that I just stopped years ago. I love the smell, but after an hour , I get a headache that will not go away for days. So frustrating.

I suffer from this, have been on diet for 3 years now based on almost zero histamine levels, and still see NO improvement whatsoever in my skin's reaction

I hate papaya, it tastes like dirt to me. However, I got an oriental melon yesterday from a Korean grocery store and it’s pretty delicious, not too sweet. If you see it I recommend trying it, it looks like a little yellow melon.

I cannot eat an orange around it's peel. I have to remove the orange completely and I am fine to eat it as such, otherwise I get a bad skin burn around my mouth, I assume from the orange oils in the skin. Lately I am realizing that I am allergic or at least sensitive to arugula. I do my best to avoid it but just recently discovered it hidden in my salad greens and it burns the inside of my mouth. I have actually gotten large blisters inside my mouth when I eat it. So annoying since I love it.
