Hand like KJ, A10 off, J9 etc work better as raises or 3 bets when you have late position versus limpers and late raises. Thats because these hands block alot of value hands, plus they can easily fold to four bets. Most of the time people fold and you pick up pots before the flop.

Advantage to playing online is being able to see more per hour than a live casino...its also tough to find live morning games during the week...its just the tight older folks...might have to hit up the casino in the evening and weekends...but the sharks come out at night...the sharks come out at niiiight

I'm a newer player too, trying to learn the game. I think I may have a couple comments for you that may help. On the hand at 16:05 where it was you and the BB and you raised to .35 and he called. You played that too weak, I think. I have a tendency to do that as well and I find it VERY hard to break that passive habit. That said, looking at it objectively, you wee the pre-flop raiser so you were announcing you "had a hand". or at least decent cards -- you even mentioned that he "did not pick his cards" and you were spot-on. Then the flop came and you both checked. Then the turn and you both checked. That's a lot of weakness being shown by the BB. Then he took the initiative and bet and you folded. You should have made that bet on the flop, then see how he responded. If he called you might know you were beat. If he check raised you would KNOW you were beaten. Next time, just try keeping that pre-flop aggression going in a situation like that. It may take down the pot for you. Second comment, on the hand at 18:23 with JJ2 on the flop you thought "he has a Jack". Actually, odds are that he DOES NOT have a jack. If there are two of that card on the board, there are only two left in the deck, reducing the chance he has one in his hand, He may very well have a J -- it is certainly possible. Think about the odds of that happening though. There at 4 J's in the deck, so that's 4/52. You know you don't have one, that's 4/50, after the flop it's 2/47, so the odds he has one is 1/47, or about 2.12% chance. My math is probably off and someone will correct me but my general point is the same. He likely does not have a J in his hand but wants you to think he does--you probably have the best hand AT THAT POINT. 🙂. LOVE the Craps channel, keep it up, loving this channel too!
