Another reason they weren’t covering properly is that the aquafaba probably was supposed to be whisked to stiff peaks! Aquafaba is usually a substitute for the egg white in meringue which is what hot ice-cream recipes like baked Alaska call for

If you ever redo this, add more cinnamon, actually crush those flakes, melt your favorite chocolate over a double boiler & use that to drizzle! I used your recipe and did all of those things, it’s 10000/10. Would recommend. Also let those ice cream balls freeze for a lot longer. :P

yeah, and the chickpea liquid should have been whisked more. as it literally can be used as an eggwhite replacement and have an almost merangue quality. so i think its a combination of the two.
