With all due respect... dont sent your power board to the side for 30 minutes and expect it to be discharged... they're electrolytic capacitors and hold a charge for some time... just manually discharge them as it literally takes a second.

lol those round things are capacitors. theyre made to hold charge. I forget why they do though. but yeah your right always wanna leave it be after you unplug it for awhile.

Mine is exactly like yours but the dvd player is stuck and won't open. How do I fix that?

I have the same one, my grandma gave it to me before she passed away. My question is how can I fix the GREEN CENTER ( the little box on the left corner ) that’s where I connect the center speaker which it works but it won’t work on that little box. I just wish that was working 🤷🏽♂️

Press the SYSTEM MENU button. Press the UP or DOWN arrow repeatedly until DEC. MODE appears in the front display. Press the SELECT button on the remote control. Press the UP or DOWN arrow repeatedly to select PLII or PLII MUSIC. Press the SELECT button on the remote control once more. Press the SYSTEM MENU button to exit the menu.

Is there a place I can purchase a replacement disc drive? My mother has one of these and she doesn’t want to let it go.

ebay is all I really know of. If there is not one for sale I would just keep checking until there is.

I has DAV-HDX466 seems doesn't work with my newer TV TCL. Does these DVR work with any other brand or just Sony TV.

Question. I have the same player and the 5 disc changer is making clicks and it won't open. I think I put a DVD in crooked. Can we open the disc changer to get it out?

I have not done so myself but yes you can. The issue would be obviously to not break anything in the process as well as getting it put back together correctly.
