Jesse Shambles is trying to transform her life from rags to wealth and comfort. Can she be better than her unambitious ancestors and achieve great things?
Everything is proving to be VERY challenging for Jesse right now. A nice warm shower and a hot meal is all she wants. Is that too much to ask?!
This challenge follows the rules for the Rags to Riches Mega Challenge for The Sims 4: forums.thesims.com/en_us/disc...

For first time recording I thought you did an excellent job - I would never have guessed. I think you sound great too. Bad luck losing the first episode - I know how frustrating that feels. Jessie did well this episode - it is slow at the beginning of a challenge but I also think it's the fun part. I'd forgotten the birds did that when sims sing - saw it in the official trailer but not since. HoB is such a beautiful world.

Thank you! ☺️ I hope you enjoy the other episodes in the playlist so far, as I'm getting more comfortable behind the microphone. I love the challenging beginning parts of a rags to riches, but my favourite part of gameplay is families and telling each Sims individual story. Hopefully Jesse is the start of a very long lineage.

I know this video is months old but in the town she lives. You can sell plants veggies and fruits to the stand owners.

@@emmsimley at 5:41 she snags an extra plate of food. At 15:06 she eats the cupcake. You can still see the bag in her inventory at 16:23.

Ah yes! It wasn't very obvious but the plate I instruct Jesse to clean up at 17:21 is that extra plate from earlier. It was a little 'cheaty' as I wanted to rummage through the park bin.

A way to make this harder would have been to make Jessie a vegetarian.

😆 yes! And I would have forgotten she was vegetarian a million times over. Jesse's home lot does have the Off-the-Grid and Simple Living lot challenge assigned to it... so that'll be interesting when she starts living there.

@@emmsimley Forgetting is what makes it a challenge. However, it will only work 2-3 times, then you always remember. I love off the grid and simple living lots. More challenging because if your plants die, your sims don't eat. Freegan is a good one for that too. Then the complain when you are spending money on literally anything.

No wonder her hygiene need is always terribly low! It was the hardest one to keep green at the begining of the challenge.

please keep your microphone on your mouth the entire time you talk without the pop filter. just like ASMR but better. Also turn the game sound off so the awesome wind can be heard better. Can you upload every day?

Thank you for the microphone suggestions. Optimal audio settings is something I've been working on. Bear with me over the next few episodes as hopefully it'll gradually improve.

@@emmsimley when you start putting the microphone on your mouth, can you put ASMR or harsh wind in the titles? Hopefully starting with the next video. Glad you enjoyed the idea. I mean, it would sound awesome if the microphone is on your mouth so it will pick up wind every word you say. take the pop filter off so it sounds more awesome.

@@Hollywood-cl1zv I've seen you comment this on literally every new channel I find. There's lots of ASMR specific content on YT, no need to try to make new channels do it, putting pressure on them to cater to the ASMR crowd. It's not really something that blends with gaming lets plays.
