Windows XP... pure nostalgia. Also, there are some pretty good games that run on Windows XP: GTA SA, Tomb Raider Legend, KOTOR, KOTOR 2, Age of Empires 2 (not the steam version). I still own my Windows XP PC, which is an old 2006 Macbook. Sometimes I just use it becauce of the nostalgia and the memories I have.

Let me try to explain how to play Solitair in the simplest way I can for the Video Creator. The objective of Solitare is to complete all 4 suits, the 4 top boxes are for each suit, there are 13 cards in each suit, Ace to 10, King, Queen and Jack, you gotta "sort the cards" out, in the top 4 boxes it all starts with an ace and ends with a Jack, on the "playing field", empty spaces can only have a King placed in them, followed by Queen, then Jack, then 10 down to an ace. However you have to stack the cards in either a Black/Red or Red/Black config depending on the beginning card in the stack, so for example a Black Clubs or Spades 10, must have a Red Hearts or Diamonds 9, and so on and so forth, you win the game when all cards and all suits are "sorted". To be honest Solitaire is pretty easy stuff, Minesweeper on the opposite hand is complex AF, so so eone could perhaps explain that to me in a way that it's easy enough to understand it. I just hope my explanation was accurate and on pint, someone, if I made a mistake plz reply.

I still like XP for classical games that are still awesome. Internet still works decently. Office 2007 still works nicely. So it is still good tech for general use. By the way, install XP is so easy; just need an original CD disk and regular HDD with DVD/CD writer.

You should try to install The Sims or The Sims 2, those games were my childhood and ran perfectly fine with my old desktop computer! To play solitaire you star putting the aces first and then escalate to the rest of cards. It’s easy and fun!

Drivers, drivers, drivers. windows XP was completely useless unless you have the most up to date drivers for all of your hardware. from network adapter to graphics adapter. plus all windows updates as well. :)

I have built sometime (I think 3 months ago) a whole brand new windows XP PC for retro gaming with 600 watt PSU, 4 GB of RAM (the max for 32 bit windows XP) Nvidia GTX 750, the only downside is that motherboard which after 2 weeks burnt out (RIP MOTHERBOARD COULDNT HANDLE 19 Years old OS). Also the PC had athlon 64 X2 with 3 GH. Also I had is an 240 GB SSD (quick boot). Maybe I should've stayed with arch BTW (; . Anyways great videos! I wonder how well Windows XP's hardware support is. There's Purevideo VP2 (XP doesn't have AVC) so Mpeg-2 DVD and VC-1 bluray quality with Media Player 11 and Media Center Edition. I would say MCE is better than Media Player 11 because it supports Mpeg TS streaming to Xbox 360. Does Windows XP support QSV? And what about UVD? I'm curious about Windows XP's supported features.

I've got a thinkpad with windows xp that I use for editing, DAW host and graphic design. I think if you don't use the internet much, then it's not really an issue, especially if you install antivirus software. That being said, I generally use it for the older software that give creative projects a kinda authentic retro/90s aesthetic.

To install an iso from a usb, you must format the usb to be a bootable drive format. I am assuming you performed this, but I used to do this about 6 years ago and never once had an issue.

I used to use 1024 by 768 and usually a 19 inch screen monitor and XP but I don't recall how long it takes to install. 😕

Windows XP was a great operating system. After the trash that was Windows 95, 98, and ME, XP was a complete breakthrough. Stable, great compatibility and really quick at the time. If only SSDs had existed then it would've been even more amazing. Many of the innovations of XP both in the user interface and under the hood, so to speak, are still present in operating systems today. It was really great for its time.

watching this on my windows xp laptop from 2005. yep im being serious edit: bad news :( there was a weird white spot like a coffe stain on the laptop screen but i just ignored it and after 2 weeks the entire screen is covered with those white stuff and it smells horrible. i also updated it to windows 7 and its too slow and the smell is just making it hard for me to install the drivers

FYI Windows XP doesn't include any sata(ahci) drivers so if you have problems download an iso with the data drivers sideloaded, and you can install XP from a USB drive, I'm it sure why that wouldn't work.

I have this exact computer! sadly it died and now wont turn on without many issues and blue screens. Unfortunately I dont know what the reason is. I have a new ssd i would put in if I could, but Idk if it HDD is the issue or another component. I think I bought it around 2013 so its about 7-8 years old
