Another reason why Galactus is important is because if he dies (atleast in prime Earth), then an even bigger and badder entity called Abraxas gets released. Unlike the planet eater, Abaraxas is actively malevolent and destructive so its bad news.

Actually that’s the point of his Heralds like the Silver Surfer, is to warn the peoples and life of planets that he is coming, so they are in some way prepared, whether to evacuate, or if they can’t, then to die.

He is also fated to merge with the last surviving mortal-born being from the current cosmos, and from that merging a being called Lifebringer is fated to emerge in the next cosmos to perform the same function the two of them served in this universe (Galactus destroying worlds and storing potential for universal rebirth, and the other imagining and creating new worlds and new life). That other being, who will merge with Galactus, is Franklin Richards, the son of Susan Storm and Reed Richards.

If you're asking for her name , it's Taaia and she initially appeared in Defenders beyond which is a team that consists of her , blue marvel , America Chavez , Tigra and that might sounds out of pocket for this character to be here but GOS . This is the same comics where they brought back THE Beyonder , but now he's way more broken than what he was before as he himself explained how the one everyone used to call prb is HIS BABY FORM and I mean in his introduction the first thing we've seen him doing is him realising that marvel keep retconing him into way weaker entities so he straight up transcended his existence over his own stories straight to the house of ideas which is crazy

If you think about it Galactus is basically an Ouroboros, he must consume and create death all of the time but in doing so he becomes greater and more powerful. He is a living mighty organism that relies on his ability to kill so that he may exist longer. Galactus is basically a predator or meat eater, nothin wronk with consuming a few souls imo. Galactus just needs his protein for gains he did nuthin wronk

Marvel has been so scared to make Galactus more than a mere laser fighting giant. It pisses me off that it's the only real power they can imagine him having in fights with anyone with all the power he saps from universes. He is supposed to have God level powers without peer and most of the time he displays mediocre skill levels against foes way weaker than his supposed abilities. He is a myth with very little threat and shows more of what he can do when creating a herald. Such a huge disappointment and it needs to be fixed.

I don’t know why Marvel Comics has labeled him as a villain during the Bronze Age period of comic books which made me misunderstand that character growing up. I would say Galactus would be a neutral character where good and evil doesn’t really apply to him. His appetite for planets is no different than humans consuming animals or other living organisms to survive.

And this is the reason Marvel comics has gone on too long and it's time for a real reboot. If Galactus is important to the balance of the universe (as established in Trial of Galactus; FF 262), then how does that mesh with the fact that Galactus was supposd to be The Lifebringer (Ultimates vol 3 #2)?
