I tried it by lengthy method (Pausing video) and got time req. for A, B & C 399, 437, 475 resp. Then resume d video... Great concept.

@@raguljr2638 A gave C lead of 160 m and 20s to B. B gave lead of 20s to C. Total lead C has is 40s and 160m therefore C covers 160m in 40s. Speed of C = 4m/s. C covers 1000m in 250s, B covers in 230s and A covers in 210s. We have to find for 1900m so, C covers 1900m in 475s, B covers in 437s and A covers in 399s.

Simpler way in A,B, C 1000 m race question, A gives lead of 10 s to B and 5 sec to C(2.5*1000/500) so net diff is 1 sec (5-4 sec) in 1k mtr race so in 800 m race, it would be 4 s.

Sir, for the last qns, how did C timing is t + 40. C gets 20 second lead wrt B when B completes the 1000 m race. But wrt A it might not be 40 sec. please clarify

He is not calculating the lead but rather total time to complete the race As b takes 20 sec more than A and c take 20 more than b

@@ratnakiranpatil7890 A is faster than B by 20 secs in terms of time and in turn B is faster by 20 secs than C, so ultimately A is faster than C by 40 secs. Don't overthink it guys!

@@arunadityarajjain1129 Instead of time take distance. For example If B gives a lead of 200m to C in 1000 m race Now A gives a lead 100m to B in 1000 m. How far is C from A. It can't be 200+100 = 300m It should be 1000m ---- 200 lead to c 900m ----- 180 lead to c. 180 + 100 = 280 not 300. So, how we have added 20 +20 sec. Let me know. I'm confused.

In last question, if B has already run 20 sec, then for B and C it won't be a 1000m race right? So, how can we use t+40 sec for C?

I thought thaat too initially, but if you see, B will take 't+20' sec to cover 1000m and in a race of 1000m, B can give C a head start of 20 sec, so C will take 20 sec more than B to cover 1000m and hence, the time for C will be t+40 sec

Take it like this B tells C that, "You start running and after 20secs are done I'll run and we will finish at the same time in 1km" Now as B is about to run A tells B that "Yo bro I'll run 20 secs after you and still will finish at same time as you" So from this short story if A takes time "t" then B took "t+20" and C took "t+40" compared to A.

Hello sir!! Can you solve the first que by comparing distances. As when A covers 1000 B covers 920. When A covers 500 B will cover 460.. I tried but my answer is not correct.

Sir in last question IF WE want to find speed of A,B,C how could to find it.

Here's how: Start with C. We know that he covers 160m in 40 seconds. (Because he gets a headstart of 160m or 40 seconds by A). There Speed of C is 4m/s. Time taken by C is therefore = 1000m/4s = 250 seconds. This is T+40 therefore T = 210 seconds. Therefore Time (A and B resp.) = 210s and 230s and distance is 1000m. So, Speed of A = 1000/210 = 4.76 m/s Speed of B = 1000/230 = 4.35 m/s and Speed of C = 160/40 = 4 m/s Hope I didn't make an error.
