Great lesson as always TS explaining things clearly and your unique style. Glad my coach loves alignment sticks so much I have more of them than Ill ever need and can cut one down for this drill!

This would be a great rehearsal drill for you my man! Do it slow in front of the mirror firstly. Don’t hit shots yet with hit it but learn how to make it miss you SLOWLY

Just sent a message, heres another one, I ve been a competive swim coach fo rr 17 years in Australia. What ive noticed with swim coaches and golf coaches, some will create drills that create feel for the end benifit of full holistic motion, and then there are coaches of both of both sports that teach by postional pionts, eg, this should here and then here, jion the dots, both sport are fluid in there movement and therefore shold be taught with fluid drillsthat create correct positions , and not positions to create feel, its cant be done, ts golf you have right
@tsgolf10 ай бұрын
I agree that dynamic learning is extremely important in golf (I wouldn’t know about swimming as much but I can imagine the same). Positions are great but to know from a check point reference but applying the rhythm and coordination through the movement is vital. The only static places need to know from a learning stand point is out starting reference and finish point. This allows us to fill in the middle ground easier and more effective. Thanks for the comment and feedback! Love it!

TS. I need width, crunched at the top, but I roll my wrists, coming from inside and steep. Would you change anything on you advice?
@tsgolf2 ай бұрын
That would likely come from internal trail shoulder rotation while creating the width. I’m going to attach another video here for you to watch below that could help: kzfaq.info/get/bejne/erNyd9GZ2Nm8hps.htmlsi=Au75vIbRfAmV4ESS Hope this helps! TS

Conventional wisdom is wide to narrow. Is promoting a more wide to wide better? If so what are the advantages?
@tsgolf3 ай бұрын
This is promoting more of a constant radius! Less deviation, plane out better and allows the club more adequate time to square (more shallow at the bottom of the arc through hitting area)
@michaelkrailo57258 ай бұрын
I see how this would help me, but I cannot keep my arm straight like you do at P4 and P8 positions. Darn near impossible for me even though I have your similar build. As soon as my left arm gets past parallel to the ground, it starts bending at the elbow no matter what I do. Same thing happens on the target side as well with my right arm. Is there anything I can do for that particular issue?
@tsgolf8 ай бұрын
If you were struggling to keep the arm straight, there is a potential at the arms are moving too slow. Adding more speed them sometimes even in the Backswing and then getting it to stop quicker in the follow-through can actually help you straighten them at times.

Would one of the magnet face alignment rods work or would that be to bulky.
@tsgolf10 ай бұрын
That would work decently actually. I’d put something on the end of the alignment rod IF you hit shots with it. Would really recommend creating feels with it and using the tee as a smaller piece as a reminder of where it’s pointing directionally. Thanks for the comment!

The radius is established by measuring the GH joint to the wrist of the left arm. It doesn't get longer but can get shorter. It is what it is, right? If so, width is just maintained.
@tsgolf10 ай бұрын
It has the ability to lengthen a bit if the lead shoulders in its socket (there is give where the shoulder can stretch down before working on. I’d call the radius of this from the ball join of the shoulder down to the snuff box of the wrist! This is theory will just be maintained. More do the power source will come from trail side as it doesn’t affect the radius (pulling to create speed with lead side will / can shorten it). Hope this helps and thanks for reaching out! TS
@robsaxepga10 ай бұрын
@@tsgolf It can lengthen a bit due to scapula movement but then it has to retract the same amount to be consistent. Not saying I can control scapula movement but it does affect it, as you know. Snuff box! So funny. My coach used to call it that, too. Thanks!

Put a foam ball on the end of that thing. Please!! Lol. I like the tool cool idea

Definitely! This is what I wouldn’t recommend hitting shots yet with this. Use it more to create feels SLOWLY in front of a mirror. Thanks for the comment

Don’t like Sergio swing
@tsgolf10 ай бұрын
Sergio’s move I love and he’d be able to do this. He is very wide in the backswing and the direction his club moves would make this stick work behind his trail shoulder. He’d be very successful demonstrating this drill

Guess I can use a chopstick for this drill ! 🥢🏌🏻♀️

That’d work! Would use this mainly for slow rehearsals / mirror work
