Dreams really do come true, folks! Jesse made his way down to Winnipeg to compete in the Winnipeg Jets' Skills Competition and got to chop it up with his favourite players. Competitions he competed in include fastest lap, accuracy challenge and hardest shot. Get a close up look at the Jets and see how Jesse did back on his home barn!
Huge shoutout to the Jets for having the squid.

I think people discount him as like a braggart or self aggrandizing but you also see the guy is just someone that gives it his all, but is humble and knows his spot in the right circumstances like this. I think he's perfect for a video like this 'cause I think the other Bardown folks would be like more subdued and respectful, but Jesse is somehow still super loud and respectful.

I'm using this as a positive term but I always think of Jesse as adorkable. Based on references in other videos, the entire BarDown team are a few years younger than myself so I could easily see them as younger siblings. Jesse is the little brother that has so much energy that while it can get tiring, you can't help but laugh. Looks like a lot of the Jets felt the same way. Just a great group of people all around on this channel.

I know Jesse is a popular figure with his time with Bardown but digging in this deeper it’s a life long fan getting to do what all of us hockey fans would only dream of. The man is paid to talk hockey all day every day and gets a chance to play in a skills comp with his favorite team. How can you not be romantic over something like that

Every team needs to do this where they have an internal skills comp and send the winner to the ASG comp. Truly find out who the fastest skater and hardest shots are. Also you can tell how much fun Jessee was having.

IIRC, most teams do these little skills competitions. I know the Canucks used to do them a while ago

@@SMA2343 Still do. It's normally only before the season starts now, though. But you're right, most teams do in fact do this, the Jets and Canucks have done it every year for a while now. I believe pretty much every Canadian team does this, unsure about American. Cool as hell, though.
