This is só exciting to watch. That QAM4096 was nuts! I also got caught by the "everybody has one" on the R&S generator hahahaha Definitely, it must be really interesting to work for a big design and test company in the US.

2 THz up and down converters, 4 kelvin caps, and a 100+ output switch that looks like a cyber-cactus. God, I love RF.

You are going to need a wider lens to fit all the instruments in the opening shot! Great to see how you channel has grown over the years. Keep up the good work, it is the most in-depth regular posting RF content I have found on KZfaq. Invaluable resource.

I'm a DC guy. Anything above 100kHz is radiofrequency as far as I'm concerned. I can't understand a thing you're saying. But still, I'm watching all the video. Even if I don't understand, hearing an expert explaining all these high tech instruments is still a valuable lesson.

I'm similar... Having said that, I strongly suspect that Shahriar considers anything below 1GHz (maybe 10GHz by now) to be 'basically DC'. All of us can be 'experts' at something if we try hard enough... After > 60 years, I consider myself to be a quasi expert at breathing. (Maybe not an expert, but I haven't failed... YET!!!)

Interestingly i have seen people who work with these VNAs where the components are put into waveguide with 1 mm diameter, for whom everything below 100 GHz should be electrostatics, but who become lost when they see a directional coupler for the 20 m band.

@@Thesignalpath Shahriar, I was thinking of actually talking to the engineers and designers on their daily work (like actually on their desks) while they design these amazing instruments. I would really like to see their daily work flow. These instruments are not just test gear. This is high end design and research. Also, cutting edge software. This would mean a rather long video but worth it. I would start with a day-to-day meeting that the project managers would have and then go to the details of the engineers and architects. This could be an amazing video. If anyone could do it, it would definitely be you. Thank you for all your very cool videos!
