I just installed this Power Kit by TSP on my 2022 KTM 250XC TPI. Hear my impressions and thoughts as I take you along for the first ride.

Steve called me today within 15 min of my order going through. Super nice guy to talk to and he will take the time to answer any questions you have and is super knowledgeable. I’ve turned all my friends on to him and have had their tpi’s tuned by him. Absolute game changer!

Thanks for posting this review. I placed my order and sent my ECU off yesterday. Your review just reaffirmed my decision. 2022 300xc.

You’ll love it. It’s hard to tell in videos, but it has more linear power everywhere. 👍

Nice review! Thinking of this mod after up coming new top end for my ‘21 te250i. Looks like you’re in Oregon too! Ever come up to Tillamook Forest to ride?

I’ve never ridden over there. I’ve always wanted to ride Brown’s Camp. Is that where you like to ride?

@@Rodneysnwridesandreviews Yea it is amazing. There’s hundreds of miles of trails. If you look at a trail map, Browns Camp is only the beginning. There are several other staging areas as you drive further west on hwy 6. Generally the further west the more technical/steep the trails get. There’s something for everyone, but if you like beautiful technical singletrack it’s heaven.

@@MrPerattzi That’s awesome, and I’m hoping to make it over there this year. I just started riding the MX track as well, so it’s hard to get to all the places I want to ride only have one day a week to ride.

Great review, my riding is different to yours as we do extreme enduro, mostly 1st and second gear stuff. Would you still recommend the high compression head. I live in Johannesburg, we are also 1500m above sea level. I ride a 2021 KTM 250 tpi, the low end grunt is not great, so I’m thinking of this kit to improve the off idle pull, also I don’t want a wild bike. I would like to hear your thoughts. Once again, great review.

Yes based on your riding area, and elevation, they recommend the high compression head. You’ll love the low end grunt after the TSP kit

Yes the throttle response is much better, and with the high compression head, it has a lot more low end torque

Could you please explain why you went with the high compression head as opposed to the medium? Maybe I am wrong but I didn't hear you come back to it in the video. Thanks!

Thanks for the question. Due to the areas I ride, when you go higher in elevation, you lose energy/hp due to less oxygen. Because I often ride at 4,500-5,000’ they recommended that I go with the high compression head. You also pick up the low end torque/grunt like you would on a 300.

What are your air screw and idle screw settings

I haven’t done the idle screw replacement on it, and have only turned the air screw bypass a half a turn out. That part could still use some fine adjustment

The spooge looks just like it did when it was I had had my 2019 KTM 250XC carbureted bike.

@@Rodneysnwridesandreviews and what did that look like? Did it sponge more on lugging? Did it leak between pipe/silencer area or just out of silencer?

@@ceramictilepro when I finish riding for the day, the spooge has run down about 6 inches from the exit of the exhaust. Prior to putting on the TSP, there was no spooge at all.

@@Rodneysnwridesandreviews none at all? I've never seen a TPI without some sponge on the muffler, that's strange. BTW, when I tear down stock TPI's there is plenty of oil in the cylinder and they look amazing. Don't let the internet tell you differently. Now if you want to add more oil, that's great and I do really like the TSP tunes and love their TBI relocation kit. TSP is a top notch outfit...

Just found your channel. Great video. I heard the TBI bikes are even better. My buddy got a 23 300SX and says it’s fast. Told him about this kit. I’m already planning on getting it for my next bike in 2024. The Husky TX300 with the full Team Rockstar graphics kit. They’re really ugly with the gray n yellow plastic 😂
