3:57 This was a sort of "special" ending for season one. It's a metal cover of a song called "Aa Jinsei ni Namida Ari (Ah, there are tears in my life)," and yes, it's performed by the characters. The original song was used as the theme of an old Japanese period drama called _Mito Koumon._ It's fitting because the two characters singing this cover version became obsessed with Japanese culture/period dramas after meeting the main character.

It's an old Isekai fantasy manga that was animated relatively recently. It's just a fun ride. Nothing world changing, just fun characters

You mean the anime isn't world changing as in make a big change in the world like Dragon Ball, AoT, Death Note, The Big 3 and Solo Leveling, right? Coz what Makoto does in the story is definitely world-changing 😂 Tsukimichi imo is one of the better isekai novels out of the abundance that we have now. And as U mentioned it's quite old and was part of the OG isekai novels coming out at the same time as Overlord and Kumoko. I'm both sad and happy that it only gets an anime now. Sad that it took so long, but happy it got a good adaptation. Can't say the same about Kumoko though... 😢

I mean, at the moment. I'm still solid in my view that, so far as the later story goes, it's still unique. And at the time it released, it was groundbreaking

I don’t know about world changing, but it’s definitely one of the most unique and funny isekais out there. The fact that mc is basically returning to his original home world and not the other way around is already unique enough to make this story special in the isekai field. Also, the manga isn’t old at all lol, it’s began its release in 2015. I won’t call it “old”. The original novel is releasing since 2012, not that old as well.

@@malkuusha you do realize that 2012 is more than a decade ago? In terms of when the source material is adapted into an anime, it would be considered old. Anime based on LN usually comes out around a few years from the time the LN got a manga adaptation..and 2015 is already 9y ago. Even if we consider that the 1st season came out in 2021, it's still 6 years from the manga, and 9 years from the LN. Anyway, in terms of media, I think anything further than 5y can't be considered recent, and anything more than 10 would be somewhat 'old'...

Yeah. It's really2 well written imo. It's slightly frustrating but much more realistic in the sense that the MC doesn't suddenly develop a whole new personality after being isekai'd. It takes a long time for him to actually change himself and his world views. And when I say a long time, I mean a looooong time.. 😅 It was part of the OG isekai novels. It came out way before SAO and Re:Zero which started the isekai boom in anime. (Not replying to you, just adding in more context for Gaz in case he read this😂)

Yup. Ckassy af. I love that, iutta if the multiple EDs of Tsukimichi, you end up choosing the METAL AF one! And, it's my favorite. Hearing those two girls(which the blue haired one is kinda my all-time Best Girl) sing is a massive delight. And, of course you only heard the firat OP, as the second season inly just started airing this season. Tsukimichi is one of my very favorite animes and webnovel. There is no Emglish version of the light novels, yet. I am so happy to see these other hype as hell comments for this!! Very, very cool.

Tsukimichi's fist season does actually have two endings! The other one is called beautiful dreamer from ezoshika gourmet club and is a better fit for the anime imo. The anime itself is a good watch too, enjoying the second season so far.

Goated anime. Been watching anime a long time (almost 25 years now, sheesh), and seen almost every isekai there is. This one is easily within the top 5. Even considering manga isekai, I'd still place it top 10

I recommend react to Kyuuketsuki Sugu Shinu (The Vampire Dies in No Time), just 2 openings and 2 endings (3 if you consider a special one) very pleasant and fun

As a novel reader, this one seems a bit underrated. I mean, yeah things like JJK and Solo Leveling are out during the seasons this airs but not enough people talk about it. Yes, it does have a slow start but it does that to give you time to introduce you the main characters and have you spend time with them before plot relevant issues happen. . . . . As for other recommendations: - Magi. OPs - EDs - OSTs. In particular for the OSTs, "Enfin Apparu" and "L'Arabesque Sindria" are nice choices. - Shakugan no Shana. OPs - EDs . Just my 2 cents.

I've seen a lot of people hate season 2 for being "filler" and the other heroes being bland/unlikeable (though that kinda is the point I guess) so maybe that adds to it not getting that much attention. That and a lot of people seemingly being fed up with isekai in general which is a shame cause they always just focus on the bad ones existing and then accuse the good ones of being the same.

Other than 1 episode in s1 having a hype AF moment, the show so far is pretty decent. There's definetly better shows out there but this is still a pretty fun one that I have kept watching

Ok, if you watch this anime, I HIGHLY recommend the dub. Not because the sub is bad by any means, but the dub is, in my opinion, actually better than the sub for this anime. You’ll see what I mean if you watch the dub.
