I had the old Viltrox 56mm f1.4 which I sold and never replaced it although I have always liked this focal length. I did consider the Sigma 56mm f1.4 lens, it's very small and compact but at over €400 it seems expensive now, especially as it doesn't have an aperture ring just like the new TTartisan doesn't. So bang for buck I'd go with the TTartisan lens.

Gotta love these cheap and cheerful lenses. If I hadn't already bought the Viltrox 56mm f1.7 I may have bought the TT Artisan version. Very happy with the Viltrox. Thanks for the review Jerred...

Both are fantastic!!! I have them, and man, they are really great. I think the Viltrox might have a little better backgrounds at a distance, but they are so close it doesn't matter!
