Very nice but as someone that was in the aquarium/pond business for 20+ years a few items to mention...... 1) Should have concealed the hose in the cement tower that holds the pots. Could have sealed a 1/2" PVC pipe going up then just connect a small hose at the top. 2) Paint the inside a nice blue with an aquarium safe paint. This will make it look much more pleasing and prevent any lime from the concrete leaching in the water. 3) The rocks in the pots will eventually grow the needed biological bacteria to kill ammonia so never clean those stones. Replace the white pad as needed. 4) Feed the fish very little for the first 4-6 weeks to give the biological bacteria time to grow. Do partial water changed when it gets cloudy during that period. 5) Build this in an area with as little direct sunlight as possible. This will help keep the algae under control and not let the water get to warm. Very nice project but if you want to keep fish alive the above steps need to be taken. Otherwise it will just be a fountain.

Fantastic idea:) but lose the balls and use some cool Mexican or Moroccon tiles or mosaic instead. Paint the inside and then use swimming pool tiles or design an awesome colorful mosaic - or paint a modern motif or use shells for decoration... Not sure about the fish but definitely hide the connections better. All in all - GREAT IDEA - creative and inspiring - I may try a version of this one - impressive!

Excellent, but if you put some tar in between the ground tiles it will help prevent future water damage and hel keeping them in place while you work.

Good idea. One doubt I have is, as water is poured into the tank, if there is a recycling of the same water, it will be good. Else, once the fountain water reaches the brim, it will overflow
