If you have an ongoing relationship with other trades its probably worth it...but sometimes its difficult to judge where the boundaries are in terms of helping people out... I personally don't make a habit of it because if you're not careful it can become the norm and favours become expected and not appreciated for what they are.. Really like your channel its very authentic to working in small uk home renovations with crap everywhere and very limited space.. thanks

Hi there just recently subbed love your channel👍🏼 I have a question if you wouldn’t mind answering please.. I live in a red brick Edwardian home and at the very back of the house where the WC is situated along with a few cupboards it’s only a single skin wall… do you ever come across this yourself and how would you insulate it? Stud wall & 100PIR board or no stud but PIR..? A thermal barrier too? I’m very unsure would love to know your input as the house is very cold and I would love to make it warmer hope you can reply thanks 🙏🏼

I think your doing good but I want to give you some advice having your own business you can work 24/7 but you need to work smart don’t burn yourself out… Have a time you finish and pack up and get out of there start again the next day… Health is wealth in my opinion too many people set them selves into traps when starting a business it can be hard but you know your limit… Don’t undercharge and don’t over charge leave enough for rainy days if the person doesn’t haggle it off you at least that way you win more work… I’ve been there done that…

£400 does sound like a lot for a days work but for the amount of work you put in you definitely deserved more. Time to get more ruthless, the plumber letting you down like that should be an incentive to become more ruthless. You should have walked away since there were no materials on site and you still would have made £200 from the floor job which is still good for a few hours work. Plus get that iPhone back from the apprentice if he’s not around anymore.

Hiya mate. It's cool to go the extra mile and earn more money for the day, but is the money really worth the risk 🤔 I've been there myself years ago now, then realised i wasn't getting enough rest, especially when it comes to driving tired. Self-discipline and safety are worth more than money. You'll always make money, but not if you're off through being shattered. Don't burn yourself out. Where in Brum are you based?
