@guyvascm the people saying it are not used to a "show band" kind of tuba sound. they are used to hearing traditional tuba. i for one have always been taught to play the traditional way, and have been told show band sound is bad. but i still enjoy a honking tuba anyway

i could out play them on my own... i support all the sound for my marching band... loudness is not what makes a sound resonate... its fullness of it, how much air you support it with. keep your teeth open and maintain a proper embouchure and you wont get a nasty blast sound like them, at least not with the amount of air a human being has

I'm quite an excellent tuba player that has acheived a lot down here in Texas. This Music isn't meant to be challenging or hard. Its meant to be fun and let loose on the tuba. I get tired of playin the same old classical and rigorous music like "THe carnival of venice" and "Concerto for Tuba". Sometimes ya need to go crazy on ya instrument in a different style and this is how tuba's do it; by seein whos the loudest and has the coolest music.
