Early days for Tuba Skinny. It is fun to see what was different for them back then and what has changed. Barnabus on guitar. The arrangements are already complex, with the stop chord effect often used later. Shaye is more comfortable with her cornet than I would have expected this early. Hey, time travel is fun!

Love these guys. Real life. After life. White? This is pretty dark music. And simple. No doubt there.

More of a guess than anything else but I suspect it may have been in Spain. There's a sign behind Robin in Spanish and I recall there being a publication called El Correo. There's a store in the background carrying a common surname of Ibarra. The architecture also reminds me of a trip there. Not gospel but for what little it may be worth, I would say Spain.

@@isleno101 Thanks for that Edwin. I know they played with the potato head band who I believe are Spanish but I don't remember reading that they had performed in Spain maybe you can enlighten me. I know the have performed in quite a few countries in Europe. Your knowledge would be appreciated. Thank you. Chris.

In the description it says Vitoria Jazz (Festival), so it should be in Vitoria-Gasteiz in the Basque part of Spain.

...was tupelo with them yet? ... 😕

I don't think the musical director ever did travel abroad. Probably stayed busy with the New Orleans scene.

@@stewartfenton7660 Unfortunately Tupelo passed away, I think it was last year and Barnabus Jones has a new dog (don't know the name) that can be seen on this video: 😁 kzfaq.info/get/bejne/oNSJqcyBqL3Vgok.html

@@jan-olesnabb2174 thanks, yes I've seen part of this set, but I think it was a different number. This new director's still trying to put his own stamp on the band maybe.

@@jan-olesnabb2174 I do kinda think he's coasting on Tupelo's success. But let's give him a chance.
