FYI - This video is no longer current. The current SLSA training videos are available within the current Public Safety and Aquatic Rescue (PSAR) Training Manual, SLS Members Area Document Library, SLSA KZfaq Channel, and online SRC + Bronze Medallion courses.

NEVER turn you’re back on the victim

Try putting swim fins on in surf without using your back to shelter from whitewater.

Ok good, but happens that there is not such rescue team and no tube but another swimmer that has to do the rescue with “bare hands” in the old school style Very usually

Can I ask why when putting on her finz she turns away from the patient therefore losing sight of the patient she is out there to rescue? 2:36 The Patient isn't unconscious so you don't need to maintain an airway as they are 'conscious' Afterall. Last thing it does seem a little excess having 3 lifeguard's 'assist' the conscious patient from the water, but this might just be coming from a busier beach Point of view.

"Patient"?

Yep, that was the Surf Life Saving Australia terminology until about 2016. Substitute with victim now to match ILS.

how many peoples you can save with a rescue tube?
@MrBundybear35 жыл бұрын
Two is possible but very hard. Least critical victim locks arms through tube, facing other victim.
@alessandroabbati11355 жыл бұрын
@@MrBundybear3 thanks for answer! hard because not enough space or buoyancy? i mean 2 adults + the rescuer
