@@gajetndteks If I'll be honest, It's probably so that they can build relations with bigger youtubers. Networking is key in any online business, so I cant exactly blame them for wanting to do that. But, having said that, I do agree that they should risk it and promote smaller channels over big ones, it will damage them for a bit but it will help them massively in the long run. Seeing a small channel benefit from these tips would make the dopamine hit and make small channels want to watch the entirety of the video.

Agreed. This IS keyword stuffing. The warning about irrelivant tags does not cover for overall bad advice.

From what I’ve gathered from other KZfaqrs, its the art of weaving those keywords into sentences that actually make sense, instead of just having keywords back to back. It ends up sounding like an essay that’s trying to meet a word count, but it seems to be effective for SEO.

You don't know what keyword stuffing is if you think coherent sentences that are relevant to the video is keyword stuffing. Keyword stuffing would be creating a video about Popcorn, but having Pumpkin, cheeseburger, Fries, Christmas, Caramel in your description randomly OR having a sentence like "Christmas pumpkin Caramel popcorn is better than Cheeseburger and fries" in your description. But what if the video is a Caramel Popcorn recipe for Christmas that is in a Top 5 snack video that includes Cheeseburger recipe, Pumpkin pie? It's not keyword stuffing, because all the keywords are relevant to the video AND they are not placed randomly, they can be arranged to form coherent search term sentences. Create actual sentences relevant to the video and title that are also search terms. Not random, not jumbled words, and not unrelated words.

But that’s assuming it’s search driven content. Most large KZfaqrs get their overwhelming traffic from browse or suggested features. Also, I think any smart algorithm would rather use what’s said in the video (as it’s automatically captioned) than rely on users’ descriptions. KZfaq themselves now say that tags are not relevant unless users misspelled their words. This all hints to less reliance on creators tags and descriptions imo.

FYI - From an SEO veteran... a private browser doesn't get you clean search rankings. You'd need to use something like a VPN for that, have someone in another part of the country do the search from some public place with Wi-Fi, or something like that. It can still tell who you are from where you are, and while going private waters that down, it's not all the way.

It's a bit scary starting a new channel to get more niche specific. But I know this is what's holding me back. I have been on KZfaq since 2012 I have approx 169 video's and almost 600 subscribers. It's a big step to start that new channel and leave Medley Unlimited by the wayside😢

This isn’t exactly a new concept to Seo when your a bigger channel I feel like you have that natural advantage of putting near non sense in your description box and because your popular you get easy and earlier access to views and KZfaq’s natural promoting of said video. A smaller channel trying this 7/10 changes nothing sad to say.

Guys ..i dont know where to ask so i try there. I have a new / small channel and i was doing ok views with shorts 1500 - 5000 - 15000 views ..it all stopped nothing 2 days ago. i have 6 - 7 views now and not moving for 2 days :( it happened to you at some point ? what now ? ...i didnt change content at all. my channel is basically dead now :( no views no subs.
