The Carolina Panthers under David Tepper have been a disaster, but it wasn't always like this, with Cam Newton and Ron Rivera the panthers came agonizingly close to winning a super bowl, but lost, triggering a downward spiral they're still recovering from to this day. So in this video, we're going to go over the long list of reasons that explain how the Carolina Panthers found themselves in the bottomless pit they're in the NFL today. Anyway, if you enjoyed this video at all then like and comment if you want, and you can even subscribe if you think I've earned it.
In this NFL video essay, we explore how Thatsgoodsports and DIng Productions have found the long-lost NFL highlights depicting Tom Grossi going for a career day. This is why we need football analysis from people such as Benchwarmerbran to give us NFL documentary-style videos. Hopefully, strictly football can continue from here on out and kto can bring about the Carolina Panther's downfall.

I will always hate the Panthers for trading McCaffery to the Niners. Not only trading him but giving the Niners a laughably cheap deal on a generational talent. McCaffery isn't a mere Running Back. He's an offensive swiss army knife. He should have pulled multiple firsts and they didn't even get one for him. The Niners had no firsts at the time and therefore should have had no chance of getting him. Yet they still got him for a song anyway. And the rest of the NFC has been suffering the consequences ever since.

David Tepper's terrible management of the Panthers just tells you how success has more to do with other factors than simply being a "good businessman." Just because you get lucky and monopolize a market doesn't mean you can have success in another. Tepper, like all owners, should stay in their lane and hire others to manage their team. This is why the Cowboys will likely never win.

The biggest problem a lot of these new owners have is that they try to fun their sports team like how they ran their company/business that made them rich and it does not work. They spend a lot of money (or try to spend others) and they meddle too much. Tepper is extremely impressive in the fact that he failed to get a friggin training facility built. Plenty of owners have failed or had problems getting a new stadium built but not a training facility, until Tepper lol.

You’re absolutely correct. Most of these guys know nothing about sports or how to run a sports franchise and many are too arrogant to even take advice. But after the Tom Coughlin and urban Meyer disaster he got more involved and it had been great. Carolina is my hometown team but that 2015 run was something else. Everyone was interested in them and the sense of community was great. Something a lot of people don't give cam credit for was how he always gave the ball to a kid after scoring. He would even make teammates do it. I remember once where he sprinted about 50 yards to get the ball and give to someone. I'm happy Peyton got a 2nd Super Bowl but I can't help to think cam and Luke deserved it more. I didnt understand why cam didn't change his drop back in the sb, if he would've taken one less step, von miller wouldn't have gotten to him so much. It's almost like he was trying get sacked dropping back so far. I was hoping CMC would've got a ring. It's gotta be so disheartening to have such great careers but not get the ultimate prize.

Football is timing, and the plays are based on drops. The OC is calling the plays which called for deeper drops. It was horrifically bad coaching and not giving Remmers help (again, coaching) against Von Miller. I also want to say that had the Panthers had Smitty still, the Super Bowl outcome would have been different. Someone with reliable hands and the ability to get open, have that angry dawg mentality, and get into the secondary's ass as needed. I also hate how they didn't win that day. That team deserved it, especially for what Cam did for turning them around, etc.

tubfrog, i’ve been watching you since you put out the chargers video. you’re one of my favorite youtubers, and i feel like if you expanded to other sports like nba or mlb, you could become a really big channel. and obviously it would be on a different channel, since this one is strictly football. but i used to watch a series called collapse, where it would cover the collapse of teams after a dynasty, and i feel like if you made a series about that, it would be so great. i love watching youtube sports documentaries, and you’re my favorite channel that makes them! (no glaze btw)

I think the only thing that I really love about this video is that it finally shows people that Cam Newton did not just have a “one good season“. He’s arguably had two better seasons than his MVP season and his entire career was impressive. Unfortunately, a bad offensive line that never really protected him, the Panthers never putting any weapons around him until his final season and just overall bad luck led to his career being over sooner than it should’ve been. He easily could’ve been a Hall of Famer if he could’ve just been healthy long enough.

And he also played in an offense pre Turner that was run first and not about precise passing and high completion percentages. That's the reason why his career completion percentage is low

It was true, during the Great War the Tubby Bubby brigade had to dig. Trench warfare had begun. We were at war with the enemy but we had to battle the mud daily. The tubby bubby brigade had survived after months of being mortared and shelled. Resulting in PTTBD or post traumatic tubby bubby disorder. We came back home without our souls. But we still had tubfrog at least. Team Tubby Bubby Unite!

Cam was talented, he had great physical skills, sub par passing skills but his flaws are SO glaring that even in the 15-1 season, you just knew it would all catch up to him. Turn up the heat on someone immature and prone to sulking and they'll fold like a cheap suit.

True one of his weaknesses was he never grew up. He was a clown day one he's a clown today. Nothing changed. Another was he never worked to get better. He was the same horrible pocket passer day one as he was the last game he played. He never got better. That's on him. He got by because he ran people over. In the long run it kept him in the NFL but ended his time as well. He never learned to get down and live for another day.

47:12 whoooa, hold up, you had me with Kuechly being the possible best defensive player at that point (because Ed Reed, Troy Polumalu, Ray Lewis and Brian Urlacher were' all retired before he did) but then you say the best Linebacker of the 2010's Lewis and Urlacher both still stood tall over Kuechly but all are no doubt first round hall of famers also I love his attitude and that he likes to fly fish, what a great man!

actually this team is in a great position this year (especially if bryce is the guy). they still have talent all over the defense (even without burns) they just got a guy who i think has the talent to be the next aj brown in xavier legette. they went and got a good 1 in dionte for bryce. they drafted a back w first round talent in the 2nd round. they also stole a te in the draft, and oh year went and bought the two best guards in FA to solidify their interior oline. again if bryce pans out this is a sneaky good team this year. they've had one of the best offseasons and no one is talking about it. i think there is a legit chance they find themselves in playoff position in decemeber, especially w an easy schedule and arguably the worst division in all of the nfl.

Well, easy-ish. I am cautiously optimistic like you. We do gots to play the likes of the Eagles, Cowboys (before they choke in the playoffs), Chiefs, and Bengals this year. It also depends on what Tepper does. Any given Sunday.

@@NJP-EonPardonCogitoCo im actually a dallas fan lol. i think yall will beat us tbh. this team is going to blow up before the end of the szn. dak doesn't do well under pressure, and the locker room is already showing signs. i don't think we have to worry about choking in the playoffs this year, bc we will go 9-8 at best.

@@user-fm8mc3yc8d Well, hard to say at this point. Y’all still got Ceedee and other playmakers on offense, and on the other side y’all have Parsons, Bland, and co. Y’all could very well beat us again. With that being said, I do agree that y’all probably worsened by a bit and this year will not be ‘y’all’s year.’ The Cowboys remind me of Ferrari F1 ever since 07 or 08. There’s high-end talent but it’s held back by management problems, and terrible choking in crucial situations. There’s also the rich history and passionate Tifosi, but it hasn’t been their year since the late aughts.

@@NJP-EonPardonCogitoCo outside of lamb, osa, and that oline id be happy to get rid of most of this team. parsons is a huuuugge distraction. bland is severely overrated bc of a few pic sixs (even though he got burned a lot last year) and we all know what dak is (i hope hes gone after this year). i will note bland was actually great his rookie year, and an extremely sticky db. i don't like guys who go for pics and get torched in the process. i much prefer the trent mcduffies who will lock anyone up, even if they don't get a single pic in a szn (i hope bland can get back to that). outside of lamb and the oline we're pretty bad on that side of the football. and the defense is overhyped just like last year. and obviously there's more drama than usual, since dak might be a ufa next year.
@user-fm8mc3yc8d
@user-fm8mc3yc8d Ай бұрын
@@NJP-EonPardonCogitoCo i truthfully think this year is about eating the cap and making room for the future. i think its a year where we are trying to get out from under dak, and build a team for a rookie to come in and flourish in, while on the rookie scale.

My Problem with the Panthers is; while I know who the QB is I have no idea who the RB, wide outs, tight ends, and offensive linemen are. I have no idea who is on the D-line, or even the DB's. The team keeps trading or letting go so many players, many who are good, that its very hard to know the team. So while I live in Carolina I have a hard time rooting for the home team because I don't know them and when I do get to know them they are soon gone. Poor , Poor Me!!!!

The Steelers disguised that blitz pretty well though. They stunted to make it look like they were coming from the QB's right so Cam was looking at the wrong side for the rusher. He should have picked it up when the DB/lineman bailed on the snap, but I guess they knew he was predetermining that side.
