At that time, Trump was legally still President until January 20th, and no one has been legally charged for "insurrection" nor "terrorism" , the protesters in prison have been charged with trespassing and disrupting a government proceedings. They do not dislike us. They are not indifferent to us. They hate us. They want us gone. Autopsy found zero trauma to cause any health issue. No protestors killed a cop Jan 6 but many ANTIFA and BLMers have willfully murdered cops.

I like Ted Cruz. I think he is one of the smartest we have in congress next to Ran Paul. I don't buy his excuse. I get it. Jan 6 is a slippery topic for Republicans. But Cruz going on a rant about him trying to reach out to DOJ and get answers and comparing Jan 6 rioters with Antifa, blah blah blah is political and we don't care to hear it. Cruz you mess up. assaulting a "police officer", "politicians" or one's "government" is NOT a terror attack!!! To make it clearer: assaulting those responsible for one's wellbeing is not terror. Yes, it is a crime as it is assaulting ANYONE and one shouldn't do it, but it is definitely not a terror attack. A terror attack is assaulting innocent civilians in order to make a political statement and to cause social and political instability.

It was extremely painful to watch Cruz say that. I started following him and watch his KZfaq videos recently. He’s a very reasonable, knowledgeable, wise and an intelligent politician. It was not slip over tongue. I’m really saddened..Simply can’t believe this.I’m sure he might have regretted a lot. But it’s too late.

Yes, and a smooth talker. He might be smart enough for the Supreme Court, but he's a politician, for sure. That said, he was man enough to admit he made a mistake. You don't see that from politicians very often. I think he's generally pretty honest, so far as I can tell.

Can someone explain to me why those that invaded the capital are not terrorists? After all, the federal definition of terrorism is: “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives” (28 C.F.R. Section 0.85) 1. Beating cops and overrunning them to enter the capital is, "unlawful use of force and violence". 2. The whole premise of the "stop the steal" mantra and the march to the capital (let alone the violent attack) was to, "intimidate or coerce a government" into stopping the vote count. 3. And these actions were clearly, "in furtherance of political or social objectives”. What am I missing?
