Man I absolutely love that Tudor and that would be the same mod I would have and one day plan to do if I am able to get my hands on this same P01 Tudor. I like how totally different it is but with taste and that it doesnt blend in nor follow any trends. That is my personality exactly and I wanted to badly to buy it from you when you were selling it but didn't have have the funds at the time. Man I have been wanting to get one of these. I may reach out to you if I am able to track one down at a reasonable price and get some expert advice from you if you don't mind before I make a disaster. I love to mod and make things my own and what you did in my opinion was no doubt the perfect and most ideal mod that actually looks factory OEM or as if it came that way from the factory. Great job! Well done and I want one!

Oh my gosh I don't know if it's a p01 anymore. Now it looks like a stainless steel black day. More power to you with the balls it takes to re-engineer a brand new product. All that Drilling and dremeling makes me nervous on a new timepiece

Don't think there is a solution.. unfortunately on wrist you dont thee the gap as much

Great work around ! I like that look the best out of the three choices, but the pass through style was too bulky. What do you think about the 22mm Miltat Rollball straight end bracelet ? ❤

I tried it with a straight end and liked the look. Only issue I felt was the finish of the lug system didn't match the bracelet... Tudor make a straight link 20mm bracelet for the BB and I believe it's not incredibly expensive.

Looks good! 👍 Could you remove the adapters that you used with the modded bracelet and instead install a 22mm wide straight end-link bracelet? Would that inhibit you from unlocking the bezel?

If you keep the end link adapters a straight link bracelet can be fitted I think it's 20mm and Tudor so make one for the BB 36 I believe.

HEAVY. This watch case alone is heavy. The bracelet will just add to it.

Not that this is bad; but if you want something lighter and just as solid, I suggest one of the titanium Pelagos models.

Props to you for being the ambassador of courage and doing what it takes to mod the bracelet. A bit of custom work, but cool bracelet mod. Yeah.. any hinged lug system doesn't really work with NATO straps. The mechanical physics basically cause an inward tension that pulls the lugs inward and thus raise the watch case oddly a bit off wrist. Really need to use a 2-piece NATO style, or any 2-piece strap or bracelet, where the tension is pulled outwards and thus the lugs pull outward and more around the wrist. It makes more sense when u actually have the watch to see what's going on. Had that NATO issue with an H2O Tiburon, which is essentially a Triton Subphotique Homage, and it has a hinged lug system.

Best way to do the standard NATO on this model is to remove the bezel lock and accompanying piece on the bottom. Then it'll wear on a single pass strap just fine.

Seen someone else do this, great mod, love the PO1 but it falls into the category of "watches I would buy if I was collecting Tudors, and a millionaire. Barring that there's like 5 Tudors I love even more, including, the heritige (not new) chrono, bb gmt, bb blue and the white lume pelagos, oh and the bb Silver.......is that two really?

Actually, I just back and looked at my perfectly worn P01 , and I have concluded the straps you put on flat out ruined this watch. Please tell me you went back to original strap

You had the guts to do it👀 was it not better to use a cheap bracelet first😎 can you not order the same ‘short’ link to close the gap? Or is there also a difference in the end links, you know the one you did not or can not remove from the case 🥶

You can always buy a set of 3rd party bracelet. Rather than ruining this perfectly fine original.

It looks ok, just ok if you like sterile stainless steel design. But I do not like. The P01, as originally presented is perfect and unique. I am unclear as to why one would modify one of the most unique designs in recent times to a design a watch that confirms with normal. Why would anyone ruin such a unique design? I bought mP01 over a year ago and had to wait 3 months for it. Demand was and is high, why would one wait so long and then ruin such a unique and special piece? Plus, the original band is comfortable. I cannot rationalize

Yea what you just said makes no sense fyi. How is it ruined? Have you never changed a strap on a watch? I have done nothing to the watch except put a bracelet. Also if you knew anything about the P01 then you would know if originally was on an oyster bracelet. So basically you have no idea what you are talking about HOWEVER you just want to pontificate about something you have no clue on very typical.

@@WatchChris I have changed straps countless times in many brands ,but I have never taken a dramal or any tool to change design, I always used stock straps and lug widths. The P01 as designed is unique and, in my opinion, absolutely perfect. I would suggest that if one was not ok with the P01, just buy a standard Tudor and flip straps to one’s hearts’ content. I have a 30 year old classic Jaguar car, at this point, why would I modify a classic? The answer is - if I was looking to take a financial loss, then I would. Not one watch company makes anything like the P01 and that watch is in short supply, why would anyone ruin the basic value?

@@desmondobrien9017 again you are missing the point I modified the bracelet not the watch. The watch and original strap are 100% unchanged. And again the original p01 was on an oyster bracelet look it up. So this looks more like the original...

@@WatchChris I am not missing the point. The watch was 100% unique and perfect out of the box. This watch is perfectly designed, why would we even try to mod ? There is no watch anywhere that looks like this, NOT 1,why would we ever contemplate changing? If you want to flip straps or hate the design, buy another Tudor. The P01 is unique and perfect as delivered. I still wear mine all the time. Just great as delivered. As I stated earlier, demanding NYC/NJ/CT market is high, not low. My guess Tudors fans agree with me . Perfect out of box, no mod.

@@desmondobrien9017 I’m a Tudor fan and IMO the best thing about a P01 is the dial finish and layout. The strap mechanism is unique but it’s far from refined or attractive. The extended lugs and leather strap look like an afterthought. You might love them, but most people don’t, hence the low sales figures and demand for this watch. I take issue with putting a leather strap on a dive watch, and as for the 12 hour bezel…what were Tudor thinking? Surely a dive bezel makes more sense on a dive watch, even a desk diver like this. Personally I think it looks way more resolved on the oyster style bracelet so fair play to Chris for keeping the originality by using a genuine TUDOR bracelet.
