These are my more considered and detailed thoughts having worn the watch for month every day.
Sorry for some of the odd pop sounds in the audio. I think my phone might have been too close to my mouth

Absolutely agree the best dive watch for the money, Tudor is constantly improving & this is a step up. I traded in my BB58 925 for it , love it !

I think so. They still have quality control issues but the watches are undoubtedly great value for money.

I found the blue 42 to be too blue. If they use the blue from the 58 that would be spot on.

I'm convinced... this is an exceptional watch and will hopefully be a keeper (I've sold two Speedies an Aqua Terra and IWC Mark 16 over the years... down to just my g shock now) I think this will be a fantastically versatile and comfortable piece Cant wait

This is my favorite watch out right now under 10k. I’d own one but I’m just not ready to spend 5k on a watch again. Maybe when I can make more money I’ll finally add the Pelly 39. I do love my BB58 though. Tudor really does make a great watch

Although the BB58 is an excellent watch I will be selling mine to fund a P39 purchase as the P39 is near perfect aesthetically and on par with the unobtainable dateless Submariner, brand new anyway as I would not buy second hand.

If rolex ever release a 39mm sub that would be my choice, however I'm sure after trying this pelagos on and seeing how well it fits my 6.5 inch wrist. Its fit especially it's female end links. This could be a better choice for me.

Hello! Love your videos! Had a question on winding it. I am getting a weird like click after I wind it three times. Is this normal to have a click when winding? Does that mean it’s fully wound and to stop? Any thought would be awesome. I also see that it’s losing around 10 seconds a day. New to Tudor and not sure if this is normal.

Cheers chap. From dead it should take more than 3 winds to reach full power to the main spring and activate the clutch. Once the main spring is fully wound a clutch kicks in making the clicking sound and winding becomes stiffer. I would let the watch die. Then see how many times you wind it before it starts clicking. In terms of time keeping, no it is a COSC certified movement so should be wiring COSC specs. That being said all my Tudor’s have been better at no more than plus 2 or minus 2 seconds per day. If it is still poor time keeping after two weeks of wearing it I would take it back to be regulated. Hope it all works out for you. Love mine.

That bracelet gap is the only thing that's stopping me from getting one... It's horrible, at this pricepoint this should not be an issue. Can anyone confirm if they improved it at all in the more recently manufactured pieces?

It isn’t ideal but not enough to cause me concern. Tolerance could certainly be tighter though.

The tolerance issue is not prevalent on all P39s I have discovered which means this is a watch best purchased from a physical store rather than online.

That’s a hard one. It all depends what sort of wrist size you have, your budget, brands you consider desirable, do you want a versatile watch or more dressy or more sports etc etc

100% Ranger bracelet to your vs bb pro comments, looked at both yesterday. Thinking of putting a Ranger bracelet on a bb pro and having their guy polish the link sides. Great watch btw… well done! *Been waiting for a MN from a few ad’s, hopefully I’ll get a 23 at this point.

I have a friend with one. The lume on the hands is ever so slightly a different shade from the indices lume. I've noticed others have too, though it's not every 39 I see. The QC on this watch is dodgy.

The solid blocks of lume will always be brighter and have longer lasting lume than painted hands. Tudor has lots of issues across all their lines of their watches. I have had issues with many Tudor watches unfortunately.

@@AlphaConde-qy7vi the tolerance on my Pelagos 39 end links isn’t great. I had lume fall out of my blue Pelagos and the bezel seized twice. I had the date wheel issue with the GMT. I had a paint on the text run on my blue 58. The only watch I have owned that was spot on was the original 58. I have linked my video below. kzfaq.info/get/bejne/m96bbNibzsqapps.html

@@wheelsandwatches My original 58 had a misaligned 12 indice, the AD said it was within tolerances so couldn't do anything for me so I sold the watch. My 58 Blue, Pepsi GMT and 39mm S&G are all flawless. Lesson learned view before buying.

I imagine it is exactly that. I also imagine it would push up the price of the watch as a result. So maybe as prices keep rising we will see harder titanium being used in the future.

How did you wear a titanium watch every day for a month without scratching even the clasp? I have several Tudors and they all took scratches within the first few days!

I am careful. It has VERY light marks on the clasp but ultimately that’s it. I do work at home most of the time too.

So disappointed with my Tudor Pelagos 39. Bought this almost 2 Months ago and winded it as being instructed and wearing this everyday. Even on my sleep. So why? Set the time and perfectly synchronised it to my iphone time. So I noticed it few weeks ago that the second is slowly getting behind the time. So finally yesterday it’s 1 minute behind. With that, I have synchronised it again last night and now noticed that it’s already 3 seconds behind. I don’t really understand because it supposed to be the chronometer certified watch. So disappointed now, and even thought of getting the BB54 to be part of my collection. Now it is not gonna happen. Does anyone here experienced the same? Or it is just my watch. 😢

All my Tudor’s have been very accurate. All within 1.5 seconds per day. It might just need regulating.

@@gn4gyI stand my self corrected because I have realized that I often remove my watch since I am working in the operating room. It was fairly accurate now since I often rotate the watch from time to time (not the crown but the watch itself).

Once in position it should be solid. You might see tiny bit of play until it clicks in to position.

@@AlphaConde-qy7vi The finishing was not quite great, the bezel action not good (compered to bb58 & OG Pelagos and the Lume was a different color I’m the hands and the indexes.

What a really dislike about the Pelagos is the silly short hour hand the lack of text compared to the BB58 and the worst part is the very sloppy black finish where the hands meet at the centre of the dial. The dial looks squished compared to the BB58 , the proportions are just better. BB58 for the win.

Shame about the titanium only being grade 2 (“commercially pure”). Grade 5 would be better (harder, heat treatable even greater hardness; other watch manufacturers use it), or if salt water resistance is the prime consideration, grade 7 or 12. I suspect machining costs. ☹

Tudor purposely make sure they dont upstage Rolex, so they make tiny tweaks to make sure they don't, that's just my conspiracy theory 🤷🏿‍♂️

On the plus side, grade 2 is lighter since it’s not an alloy. Time will tell whether it is much more susceptible to corrosion.

@@Org80 that’s not really point. The point is that Tudor are cheaping out to save money. There is NO good reason for using grade 2 over 5. Not only is grade 2 much softer than 5, it’s much softer than stainless steel, so it’ll be much more susceptible to scratches and gettting scuffed-up than would the same watch in steel. The real reason they use 2 over 5 is to cut costs, which is a bit rich bearing in mind the margins on watches in that sector of the market! Cheeky, in my opinion, very cheeky!

Grade 2 titanium doesn’t look good. (Will not shine). Look at the inside of the clasp as there is a polished part.

Once the bezel is aligned with the marker there is no backplay. It needs to get into position first.

@@wheelsandwatches you could always go old school with a leather ot rubber and sailcloth 👍got a big birthday coming and was going to go for the BB pro or GS snowflake but can't make up my mind as I like steel,my brain is conditioned to weight equals quality, I know it's daft but can't seem to get around it.

@Andrew-yy2ye many feel the same and I understand that thought process. I am not one of them. I have one ceramic watch on rubber strap, my Pelagos 39 and even my omega aquaterra is currently on a rubber strap. Between those two I would go GS.
