I would recommend this watch to everyone who is looking to have just one watch in their collection. It's luxurious without being too fancy, it's well made, (Tudor quality) it has a vintage look with modern dimensions without being oversize. All you need are different types of straps and you are all set. But it's discontinued so good luck finding one. Regarding the size of the watch, as you said, people were fast at judging it on paper without having the chance to wear it. I'm 100% sure that if they had the chance of seeing it in the metal and they would be delighted that it's not a 38mm. It wears perfectly on the wrist and I have a 6 1/2 wrist. What I have learned with this watch is not to judge a watch by the specs and better to see it in the metal first before making a decision. Awesome review!

I tried this on once, with the fabric strap. Super comfortable strap by the way, way better than any nato. Its a very cool watch at a great price, just what I want in a watch: legible, no date, waterproof, ready for adventure. Reason I did not buy it... found it a bit plain. Like the Rolex explorer 1. But part of me will always like that watch.

The rose definitely beats the shield logo. The heritage ranger is very tastefully done. I hope to get one soon

It is a shame this didn't get more attention. I am good with 41mm, though if they were to release a 39mm version with the BB58 movement, I would be throwing money at them. It would almost make up for Rolex killing off the 39mm Explorer. I doubt they are working on a replacement though. They definitely have done a fairly good job of holding their value, much to the chagrin of people like me that may be coming to the party a bit late to buy new. Thanks for the very good review.
