The plexi 79090 here is more comparible to the Rolex 1680. The 79190 replaced it in 1995 and utilized a saphire crystal and would have been a better direct comparison to the 16610. The 79190 was the last Tudor submariner to be a near Identical alternative minus the movement and dial printing to the submariner.

Tudor 79090 wins always! Next to that its not meant to being a rival for the Rolex Submariner. The 79090 case and parts are the same as the Rolex 1680

I’ve been checking for one of these and the Tudor submariner is just about the same price of a Rolex submariner which takes me to no doubt to buy the Rolex of course! The difference in price it’s almost nothing! Couple of dollars in change and you have yourself a nice Rolex submariner, I will definitely get myself one again, I got my submariner stolen from my house and I will buy another one for sure without regrets. 😂😉
