Yes, this is the 100% real instrumental for the TUGS theme song. The instrumental portion was happily discovered in the recently revealed behind the scenes segment, and subsequently spliced into the full song.

Takes me straight back to 94-95 when I had these on VHS as a toddler. Maybe the most underrated kids show of all time. Easily the best opening and closing music!!

My parents introduced me to Tugs back when I was around 4-5 years old in 2003. Nowadays, whilst I don't quite remember any episodes, this theme tune was the one thing I remember. Truly a classic.

I listen to this, and alongside childhood memories of this tv show, I feel this piece of quite epic music, was somewhat wasted on a kids tv show. It has the feel of a much more epic movie title or something... Thanks for the memories!

There are only few left and most of them can only be found on streaming networks. Cooperations these days think kids will be too scared and mature themes are „bad“ for them… Of course, a children‘s show shouldn‘t be serious all the time but introducing children to serious topics like anxiety, longterm illnesses or even death has to be done someday. And the best way to do it is through a TV-Show. Not in the „Captain-Obvious“ way where the audience is immediately told but by showing it through a story. Also, the beauty of those models is simply astounding, let alone the historical accuracies. This form of „Big Model world“ is waaaaaayyyyyy too underrated in the Film-Industry.

TTTE always will have a heavy nostalgia appeal to me of course, but when I hear the Tugs Theme fire up, it really gets me in the feels in a way no other Theme, or Kids show at all for that matter from my Childhood does.... ☺️

0:35 This part gets me every time, and even though people have probably said this a lot, for a show that took place in the 1920s, its theme song sounds _so_ 80s! Ah, this show is a masterpiece...I'm glad it didn't get destroyed like Thomas the Tank Engine did.

This for being a sidter show to Thomas the tank engine is amazing and this show deserves the credit and the theme is something i would think Sa music or Mavis M would produce as a modified version but the base theme here seems perfect for the end of a thomas episode of like a reunion or something as Tugs is just as good as Thomas and friends and may this banger theme be used on with great creators like Victor Tanzig who uses them for the beginning of sodor stories

Have you tried splicing the 0:01 to 0:35 "prelude narration" bit of the final version of the theme into the "opening credits" part that comes after in the demo, creating a "pseudo-series 2"/voiceless demo theme?
