When Carol Wachira met her husband and fell in love, she had no idea that this would be the beginning of her horror story.
She said that when the man introduced her to his family, a neighbor called her aside and warned her against marrying into the family.
But did she listen?
Today even as she shares her story of resilience amid tremendous аbusе she endured from her ex-husband, she says one look at her children makes her not want to give up yet.
