Tulip Time Festival 🌷 - Pella, Iowa

5 ай бұрынWelcome to Tulip Time Festival here in Pella, Iowa! The festival happens every year in the beginning of May and lasts about a week so plan accordingly! During this time, you can find hundreds of colorful tulips that line up the streets, lots of performances and interactive exhibits throughout the city.
In this video I want to take you all over Pella, Iowa and show you the towns deep Dutch heritage, its most famous bakery where you can purchase the famous 'S' letter goodies and take you on the tour of the LARGEST windmill in United States!

I followed and was amazed. How little I knew about The IOWA ETHNIC TOWN'S BESIDES PELLA & DECORAH. MY MOTHERS FAMILY WERE EARLY SETTELERS IN PELLA.DUTCH FAMILY. AND NORWEGIAN ON MY FATHERS! SUCH A TREAT TO SEE ALL OF THE TOWN'S! THANK YOU, CLARE

I remember going to Tulip Time as a child. My Grandparents were born & raised there . VanRyswyk & VanDerSyde. I STILL SEND BACK FOR JAARSMA DUTCH LETTER'S & WINDMILL COOKIES !❤❤❤CLARE MCKIM ,🌷🌷🌷I'M 83 NOW. 😊

Amazing little town packed with so much history and more importantly, civic pride!! I’ve been to the festival in Holland, Michigan so I enjoyed your tour of Pella.

The Historical village behind Vermeer Windmill you mean? Yes - it’s a $20 adult entrance fee. The ticket includes both a guided windmill tour and access to the village

That would be ideal! The festival itself is the weekend or May 2nd. If you want to avoid the huge crowds you can go the week before. Tulips have a very short life - about 2 weeks - but if you go in the next two weeks you should see them in bloom!
