I think buneary as a bunny/prey animal is naturally slow to trust people. It's not that it specifically hates you in particular. It just expects anything bigger than itself to eat it at the earliest opportunity.

Also, let's talk about Lysandre from Team Flare. Yes, *that* Team Flare. The one everyone clowns on. But hear me out: In universe, Lysandre builds up reputation and trust amongst the public of Kalos and his peers as a famous scientist philanthropist. He eventually betrays this trust when he goes full-tilt evil and wipe out all of his opposition, and eventually all Pokemon. On the topic of trust, in addition to having a corresponding mega stone, in order to mega evolve a Pokemon, that Pokemon must trust the trainer. Lysandre has a mega Gyrados, despite having a goal of (eventually) wiping out all Pokemon. This means that either: A. Lysandre is a hypocrite and will keep his Pokemon alive so that he remains in power, hence why Gyrados trusts him. Or, arguably more fucked up... B. Lysandre *DOES* plan on killing all Pokemon, even his own, and he will betray his Gyrados' trust as well and kill him too. TL;DR: Lysandre, despite being a meme villain in the Pokemon fandom, has some genuinely great subtle writing, and I will continue to praise Pokemon X/Y as it's sole defense attorney (/lh)

There is more to the story of Ghetsis's Hydreigon: In Black and White _1,_ it uses a special attacking build that is specifically geared at absolutely Destroying N's team. In Black and White _2,_ it uses a physical attacking build - noting that Hydreigon has higher special attack than physical attack - with a Life Orb, which drains its health to make its attacks stronger. Unfortunately, the (special-attacking) Hydreigon Iris fights you with in her champion rematch is female, which is a _huge_ missed opportunity! Why they didn't think to make the thing male and with the same IVs as Ghetsis's one is beyond me.
