99% of the time it's true, the 1% the people end up liking him so much any planned doublecross gets tossed out and also they realize said doublecross would most likely kill them or at least seriously hurt

yeah, he's thinking of Usopp. Luffy actually does not care about what you think of him, he only cares that HE likes you. At least twice someone refused to be his friend and Luffy refused their refusal

He is so sure that everyone is willing to be his friend that he left Law flabbergasted at Luffy's definition of an alliance. For those who haven't seen Punk Hazard there's a scene where it literally goes like this: Robin: Luffy be careful most pirate alliances end in betrayal Luffy: Law are you gonna betray me Law: No Luffy: : D Law: *internally screaming "what the fuck" at Luffy's innocence then DOESN'T betray him all alliance*

I haven't kept up since he punched that rich fuck with a bubble on his head, but from what I remember, Luffy is the antithesis to insecurities. He's so confident in himself, and others, that just being in his vicinity puts your insecurities on life support.

@@SuperiorPosterior it's actually intended as being sparkling green tea, it's just the same but made with sparkling water instead of regular water.

the BREAKFAST ONE is fucking GOOD. however the BAGEL one is fucking FOWEL, NO one in my house liked it, and I am NOT A PICKY person in taste of food(my pickiness is "what do I want right NOW" pickiness, but I'll generally eat anything) the fact I had to throw it away, with only three to five bites(I tried probably two more in the hopes it would grow on me, the other two are my brother and roommate) taken out of the cup. thing was fucking NASTY, and the little seed things made it feel like I was eating BUGS with every chew...

@@qrowbranwen1864 oh i know, but i was just commenting on how if your gonna compare it to levels, there are *several scales by which levels are used* level 18 is high for D&D and pathfinder, but low for final fantasy, or some MMO's. or even some games i've seen where levels can hit the 1000 mark

there's something that always bothered me about statements like this, and i think it's because the people that keep saying it, while they're _right,_ are missing the point of why it's such a prevalent thought in the first place when people say/imply life ends at like 25 and you need to get everything you want to do done by then, they're not afraid that it'll just become _literally impossible_ a la death, they're afraid that it will become exponentially harder because past that point, a lot of your time stops being yours, and what time _is_ technically yours is spent preparing for the time that _isn't._ that's what people are really afraid of -- losing the time and energy they once had to pursue personal enrichment in the sea of responsibilities, labour and making sure your basic needs will be met. this is, of course, particular to north america, and obviously you're still alive and you -- you'll have the desire to make something fun and enriching in your life as long as you've got life left in you, and soulcrushing responsibilities be damned, people will keep trying. doesn't make it not terrifying though, and damn will those responsibilities _try_
