My black cat is Type Dad. He's only got room in his brain for Dad. He tries to take care of everyone and everything in the house like they're kittens. We rescued a pregnant cat last year and he would spend half the day in front of the room yelling at us to let him in and take care of them because obviously those are His Babies. Obviously it doesn't matter that he's never met their mother.

The way I see my brain is just The Logical Half (where all my facts and academic things are, takes a moment to start up) The Emotional Half (where all my feelings and instincts are, ready to go at a moment's notice) And the little shit of a spoiled five-year-old child that hasn't been told no a day in their life, which sits between the two halves (the personification of my Executive Dysfunction and intrusive thoughts, can and will disrupt cooperation between logical and emotional halves) My conscious awareness shifts between the two but is usually in the emotional half, and in order to Do A Task the two halves need to cooperate and communicate effectively

I could probably come up with a third or fourth type of black cat, but really the distinction between the mysterious and elegant cat vs the creature cat is how much time you have spent with the cat and how attached to the stereotype you are. Movies sometimes create stereotypes for their own reasons. They are not obligated to reflect reality, hence the term fiction. Thus movie cats are more metaphor than animal. Thus when you meet an animal for the first time, you will go in expecting to meet a living metaphor and be disappointed when it turns out cats are just cats.
