Tuning a dual resonant system creating high voltage and current that are in phase.

Two capacitive coupled resonant systems are tuned,
producing high voltage and current that are in phase.
The high voltage creates strong displacement currents
that power the high current system.
This is a form of dielectric induction.

The first tesla coil I built, I used copy paper as a capacitor as well. I took aluminum foil, and layed it in laminating film and laminated it as the 2 plates. And then used paper to fine tune the capacitance of the system. It is a super simple and cheap method of making capacitors. Good work on the setup you have. I like the pcb you built. Keep up the great work

@@MasterIvo have you considered that resonance is also a quality of sound? When I was experimenting with tuning forks I noticed that a tuning fork will resonate with a frequency that matches its tuning, or any multiple thereof. Would you consider experimenting with your system to see if multiples of the primary coil would resonate with the secondary? I am interested in the potential results, unfortunately, I don't have a system as articulate as your system is.

First to mention I survived the cold current from last year, the persistent cough required a bonbon with Melisa, hmm it calmed and so could cure. Interesting work and IR cam heat análisis, looks you can heat by pancake coils a room with little input ? Nice to see that in one of the most affected country of the future climatic change there is a high motivation to come to a device that can take more energy out than in. A multi channel tuning regulator for load management might be necessary. Load prediction or a intermediate battery reservoir might be useful to be a device that powers everything, incl perhaps electric vehicles. Thumbs up for the instruction of coil and tuning practice data. Awaiting a load experiment with further insights.... Remember the resonance under load is a fugitive thing humanity wants to dominate , like squeezing a wet peace of soap that slips out of hands, so a intermediate energy reservoir will help in the sense of loading it back and not tuned for instant load power rather for quick recharge of a battery, comes to mind.

Don Smith in his later years released the schematics for the inside of his 'black box', and part of those schematics was an element which would automatically tune the frequency of the device depending on the load. Do you have any idea what he might've used, or have any ideas on replicating the same functionality in your future work?
@qinaan
@qinaan 18 күн бұрын
Dear Donald L. Smith gave us everything he wanted to share in fact the test instruments and simulation softwares are not designed for this part of EM and Scalar waves (dielectric induction) . To summarize Don's technique 1. Store very high DC voltage in an electrolytic Cap bank that can be done using a ZVS a flyback tfr and a high voltage diode to produce high DC voltage to be stored in a cap bank. Use low value of cap but 2x the voltage you wanna store in the cap bank. Low value of capacitance will help in fast charging of the cap bank. It is must coz your rate of pulses should be minimum 2 times less than cap bank charge rate. 2. Now use spark gap or Master IVOs circuit to discharge that electrolytic bank through an LC tank circuit . The capacitor of LC tank circuit must not be electrolytic rather a ceramic or tantalum. That will produce very high ringing voltage. Use master Ivo's driver circuit or spark gap's gap to get high voltage spikes at a suitable frequency. If your coil's wire length is exactly equal to wavelength of that frequency then you do not need those tantalum capacitor. Your coil will be tuned and resonate at that frequency. Parasitic capacitance effect will be negligible in that case but it all depends upon if you use pancake or spider Web coils which have less parasitic capacitance. The choice of wire is also important. Do not use very thin wire to avoid skin depth threshold limit and Do not use very thick wire to waste extra material that is more than the skin depth at that frequency. Secondary CW or CCW pancake coils must identical in case of Don's Smith secondary coils where he connected inner ends of both coils to the ground2 and outer ends to the output. But if you use the outer ends to the input if a full bridge rectifier then one of your coils whose CW or CCW convention is same as that of your primary coil , make that coils inductance 2x of the other coil or 2x lower. This is very important. Let the resonance play rest of the game. Due to this high voltage and current you can use some part of it to be rectified as DC but then voltage and currents will be drastically reduced. Always use two separate grounds one for primary and other for secondary.

Very Nice Master Ivo. You know what if you only use these pan cake coils without tuning capacitors but with a specific length of the wire which is equal to full wavelength of the frequency and then higher even or sub even hormonics for current and output coil you will get more energy as compared to LC tuned coils. The parasitic capacitance is sufficient to play as the C for the LC tank of each coil. Only one single frequency from function generator and at the secondary use higher or sub even harmonics of that frequency. Give me a token of prayers. Becareful that sub harmonics increase voltage a lot and higher harmonics increase current. So it's a tradeoff. Use one hand in the pocket rule and dry wooden table under the feet. But if you use CW and CCW fashion then both goes up being in phase. Best of Luck.

Hello Ivo, I am also researching the radiant energy of Tesla, I really like your work but there is something that is not clear to me, when you say displacement current are you referring to longitudinal energy? On the other hand I do not understand what you use the output coil for. The middle one I see is 90° out of phase. I think that longitudinal energy is perhaps better used in a different way, without rectifying it for example since it is different from an electromagnetic wave. I always think that Tesla did not use diodes or semiconductors. Greetings from Argentina

Just wondering if that helped any in your research whereby I thought may having 1 coil for current and anothee for voltage and just like a water hammer if timed correctly the backflow will be reinforced by the forward flow to create a higher out flow of water. Like when you turn on a garden hose really fast water doesn't flow out initially and then spurts farther than usual. Just curious if I helped any in you research. if not that ok.. Great Work.

Audio frequencies are the initial portion of Electromagnetic spectrum the higher you go the same principle is repeated but with different input and output transducers. e.g in audio range you produce sound with striking two objects, tuning forks, musical instruments. Then in electrical systems you produce sound from a transducer like speaker. But in Radio frequencies your sound is transmitted carried over radio frequencies (modulation) and then received by a radio receiver demodulated into same audio frequency and played by the radio sets speaker. I miss Sir Nikola Tesla and am his great fan. He once said these beautiful words, "If you need to know the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration.
