I put a vortech supercharger on mine with around 15 lbs of boost. A ton of other mods like ford performance intake, long tube headers, h-pipe with flowmaster mufflers. Bigger fuel pump with much bigger injectors. A little bit of suspension work. Sub frame connectors, up and lower control arms. A center force duel friction clutch with short throw shifter. I know there's things I'm forgetting but it was a beast back in the day. Everytime I ran the 1\4 mile I would power shift every gear and I never missed. Even if I would of it wouldn't of hurt nothing because the shifter had stops so you wouldn't bend the shift forks no matter how hard you pulled on it and then there is the rev limiter so you wouldn't rev it past redline

Awesome job guys! You are both great on camera, and very thorough in your ways of explaining the technical things without getting drawn out/boring. Love the budget themed build, which is something more of us viewers can relate to 👍👍👍

That was the one thought we wanted the people to see is we do mostly all the stuff we do ourselves and want to show that to everyone so they can relate. Question for you regarding the modifications required to the fuel tank: what exactly had to be changed around? I have purchased the exact same 03-04 Cobra tank through YearOne and will be installing it into my 01 Bullitt shortly here along with a twin-pump, return style fuel system.

So with your car being a 01 it may not need it. I believe it’s only with 99’s where you need a extra bung added for a filler vent. So when you pump gas it can release the vapor. I would check and see but I believe you will not need to add that bung because you have a newer year.

Got a little thunderbird set up with a 4.6, I think it makes 3psi. Have to look a bit harder then popping the hood to find it... its got a pressure regulating stock intake cover with a 14 inch bypass crack. would probably boost more with a pipe that replaces the plastic intake/engine cover. normal driving it is very quiet tho there is a pressure actuated waste gate on the turbo exhaust... could fit two, but it only has one 50mm turbo. seams to spool to 65'000rpm just keeping up with the motor, far as tuning goes... it has a GM MAP sensor and runs fine, the pressure regulating intake makes a croaking sound like a rubber chicken when the automatic shifts.

Sweet! Nice build you got. Nice list of parts. I remember having my 98 Gt with mmr block, stock 04 heads/cams and did a kenne bell 2.1 kit back in 2009. Super fun street car.

Awesome video man! Gets me excited to get my 03 back!!did many of the same mods as you! Recently did forged pistons and rods and a full trick flow top end and twisted Wedge heads!! With the on3 70mm it should hopefully get to 600hp

Absolutely! You should be able to do it. If you have a good fuel system and you can let the top end breath some good air you can hit that number with ease! The biggest thing is if you have stock crank just be mindful of how far you push it. The bigger the number the better but having a reliable 609hp street car is no joke!

Cooper Painting what made you with the on3 70mm oppose to their 67 or 76…. I have an 02 Gt that I was going to Eaton SC with a Tork Tech but the more I looked at 2v turbo setup the more sense it made… I just bought a Teskid block I’m looking to sell the SC kit and go on3 kit with trickflow heads and intake

What’s the deal with Romeo vs Windsor? I know it’s the plant but are they both 2 valve?

The Romeo vs Windsor 4.6L blocks are pretty much the same thing. The only thing with the blocks that I can find online that is the Romeo blocks have some coolant passages in the motor that are different. But other than that they are the same. The biggest thing with those different engines is that they have different head designs.

@alwayssomethinggarage794 the Windsor 2v's also had a 6 bolt crank (10.5" flywheel) vs the 01-04 when they went to an 8 bolt crank in the 2v (11" flywheel)

@Boost Bros Racing Absolutely! Cecil County Dragway is our home track, it’s about 15-20 minutes from us. That sounds fun. I haven’t been to the track with the Mustang since last year. I need to go back to test out the new set up. But, a track day and hanging out sounds like a good time. We will have to pick a date to go!

It was a n02 car...But it only had 55k miles on it.... haha equivalent of 255k miles. Surprised you didn't spin a bearing

Damn man, if your tuner is only getting that car to 550 WITH race fuel....you need to find a new tuner or something because damn, these cars usually max out around 650ish on PUMP gas....AND you have ported heads etc.

And 14 PSI? My 2V is on pump gas, stock pi heads, 12 PSI, and N/A cams, made 550WHP. I'm running ON3's billet wheel ceramic ball bearing 84MM.
