Not to take away from the driver, but Tq is what gets cars moving out of the hole fast. 480 foot pounds of tq is why the car went 10's.

Actually the SN95/New Edge Mustangs are based on an improved Fox platform they dubbed Fox2 if I recall correctly. So there shouldn't be must less weight in a first gen Fox body.

There have been 10 second 2vs with 360 whp it's all in the suspension. Look at the steeda 18 or 19 gt. It just has a converter, full suspension, full exhaust cai tb and e85. The motor is still not opened.

@@karlhopkins713 yea these weigh like 3200 theyre 600 lbs lighter than a new gt that is pretty significant some people dont realize how much weight effects this stuff...you would need closer to 500 in a 3800 lbs newer stang which is what most of em have when they go 10s. Steedas is doing low 10z with around 500 due to some weight savings plus the et killing 10r80 it has. I mean killing as in very good not killing as in bad lol. This car could go deeper into the 10s with more suspension peices and some more weight reduction mods. I like this build because it shows people you can go 10s without having 700 whp.

Its the 480 lb tq that got that thing into the 10s. This shows that the 2v has a lot more potential than people know. And its a stock motor 💪💪

2V's are a great build choice. Simpler engineering = less parts/cost/time to build. And they're proven reliable in any conservative boost configuration with proper maintenance.

I don't understand how people think the 2v isn't worth the time or money the block can handle 1000hp the rods break at 600hp the crank at 700hp. For a cheap motor originally from a family car in the 90s I can't complain

People only wanna go with what is new and trendy its trendy to diss on 2vs and act like they cant do shit. Truth is for what they can be had for (the engines and the new edge cars themselves) theyre pretty stout. If you wanna make more power all u need is forged rods and pistons which costs under 1500 bucks total for parts and you can really go fast then and make some damn good power. You dont gotta coyote swap to have a mean ride and you dont gotta ls swap either....

We had a fox that went 10.97 with only 385 rwhp, and an SN95 that went 9.87 with 535 rwhp. You don't need huge power to go fast, just need a good setup. Love the channel. That Bullitt would be a riot wit a little better top end power.

Amen...that is exactly right the younger generation is fixated on big dyno numbers and act like if it isnt pushing 700-800 whp it isnt worth a damn but that isnt the case at all. Too many people with big power dyno queens that cant put the power down for shit vs people with more tame setups that can boogie down a track like nobodys business. I love the reactions people act like its unreal to hit 10z with just over 400 whp but people have been doing this for years people are just fixated on big dyno numbers and nothing else these days

Good stuff, investment in a set of drag suspension is important, as you can see your stock sway bar is suffering on that 10.9 linch, and you are all over the place.

I am running 2004 Mustang Gt 426hp/ 512 tq, full on3 performance 76mm turbo, stock motor, 9lbs boost, PP intake manifold, 60lb injectors, ngk tr6 plugs, pmas maf, returnless fuel rail on 93 octane, msd coil pack, egr delete, pprv delete.

Andrew, you just proven what 2V-Mustang enthusiasts been doing literally for years. These engines are stout with moderate boost and good up keep. I may be getting dicey with this statement but I bet its faster than the 13/14 GT500 in the 1/4th.

It's close actually the trap speed is very similar maybe slightly more it would be a good run with a stock 13 gt500 prob a drivers race this car would have the advantage from a dig obviously.

I think its crazy i came across this video. Im in the middle of building a 99 Gt 2 valve with a On 3 turbo kit as well. I also was planning on going to tuners inc just like you did. I live here in daytona too. The car put down some good numbers and for it to run 10s at the track is awesome!

Most importantly, you need TRACTION to go fast. The turbo gives you very manageable power that doesnt blow all the rubber off. I can barely find grip on my 4.6 NA setup it's got plenty of torque to get you there.

With that fuel I thought it would make 450hp and 500tq. Great driving at 420 and 10's. So cool that's a stock long block. I have a built 2v and torque teck in my 00 and ran 10.50 through a t56...hats off

would love to get my hands on the tune i have a 03 mustang gt with 75mm intake plenum and a typhoon intake manifold aka metal, 44lb injectors, brisk spark plugs silver, gms coil packs, but only 5lbs of boost im thinking of going 10lbs but theirs only 91 pump gas around my area

The Bullitt and all the New Edge Mustangs will have the "edge" - pardon the pun - over the new body style because of the weight differences... That's the main reason you have so many notchback foxes getting chopped and used for dragsters - I wish I could find a stock one to just put bolt ons for the 302 with the T5 transmission and have fun with... But they are flying up in price because they are so lightweight and they are just simply fantastic for track use.

My vortech spiked at 18lbs and few times when it was cold as shit out. Wonder how much power it was making. The engine didnt hold up very well lol.

He has slicks on bigs n littles he doesnt really have that good a suspension you can see that from the launch with some weight savings and better suspension its much deeper into the 10s.

Where did boost stop? That torque from the turbo is why many guys say go cenri if you sticking with the stock bottom end.

I have one on a 3v and not gonna lie you gonna have to buy alot of little parts that add up . Because on3 has some shitty parts. Hoses , clamps , fitting , oil relocation, boost controller, wastegate forsure , and some other little things . But it adds up

And prob a ball bearing turbo because the journal ones they send with the kit are crappy and mine after 5 months of moderate use it has shaft play .

Yep and it's probably a little worse at 1/4 of a tank because of tires on back or up a bit in the nose is pointing down so when you have a 1/4 of tank is probably less so it's going to starter cuz that ass is up a bit

The issue is heat ,,, the 4.6l gets hot very very fast mmmmmmmm .... I have nothing but a 75mm intake .. headers and you run it a little hard gets hot super fast without a turbo .. put a coyote in it used motors under 2k .. 400 hp stock no stress

Just watched video and I see there are a lot of 1320 guys watching. Put a Lentech auto in it and it should go mid 10's. I've gone 10.42 at 132 mph at 3500 lbs and 435 to the wheels and 9.50 at 140 mph with 575 hp. In case you're wondering 1320 guys are the ones who think you need 1000 hp to go 10's

Yea it has alot to do with the turbo too its got loads of torque and way less hp because its a smallish not very efficient turbo but it works enough to get into the 10s obviously. Much less weight than newer mustangs helps. I love how it shows you can go 10s without having a million hp everyone is so fixated on big dyno numbers these days they act like 400 aint nothing but in the right car on the right setup it can do pretty damn good.

Should be around 428hp if you do the math at 12 psi. Not counting better engine efficiency or drive train loss... let them even each other out.

Completely stock engine? didnt open ring gaps? stock pistons? I have a friend wants to turbo his 04 2 valve 4.6l, I told him he cant with out going into bottom end, But if this completely stock engine i will give him green light!
