Yes but does it blow off at shifts or every time you give it gas had one on my foes ecoboost and even if I let my foot off the gas it blew off drove me nuts so I removed it wondering if this is the same give it little shots of gas 5 Orr more times in a row

Anytime there is enough boost pressure in the system the valve will blow off.

serhirs? Do you mean you dont hear the valve? If so the Dual Port version is the only one that will make an audible vent to atmosphere sound. The Plumb Back will not.

Dsg or manual? Dsg doesn’t make the noise as you shift like a manual would

Put a block off plate in place of the valve. lol In all seriousness, the fluttering noise is actually compressor surge and bad for your turbo. The purpose of a diverter valve or BOV is to prevent flutter.

Hello @Turbosmart I am also looking into getting a turbo smart dual port BOV but Im worried that it will make my car flutter so do you have any idea about this and why it causes the car to flutter because I know that the main idea of a BOV is to remove compressor surge so the air doesn't come back to the turbo and make it flutter so why does installing it make the car flutter on low rpms and is it harmful even if it is in low rpm's because I know flutter is still flutter even if it is in low rpm's because when the turbo is fluttering the blades of the turbo are getting negatively effected when cutting the air and releasing it outside the turbo right? I would really appreciate your insight and knowledge on this issue. Thank you once again!

If you have a Kompact EM Valve (like in this video), it will be fully controlled by the ECU. We have seen on some applications some audible low RPM compressor surge is heard from the factory (even without our valve installed). This is completely normal and will not cause any harm to your Turbocharger. As long as the valve is functioning normally there is nothing to worry about.

@@TurbosmartHQ Thank you for the reply! and one more thing please do you have two kinds of dual port BOV's one that is fixed to 50/50 and the other kind is adjustable to whatever percent wanted or is it only one kind? and if there are two can I please get the name or part number of both products if possible. Thank you in advance.

no check engine as it connects directly to the OEM computer with the plug. It receives the signals from the ECU just as the stock unit does.

@@KrooksGaming I’ve had hks full recirculated, forgedv2 bpv also full recirculating and even factory bypass valve all make the woosh noise the noise is also dependent on how much boost it lets off

@@reyspeed33 I haven’t had one built myself but if the whoooosh you’re referring to is the whoosh you hear when you have a bov on a manual, that’s a different noise than when you have a DV. This is based on what most people say on forums so I can’t confirm myself.

@@KrooksGaming yeah I’m guessing the dv itself and the fact that vw has it directly bolted to the turbo doesn’t give it any time for that sound effect to travel and the forums could be talking about something else but diverter valves are the same thing as blow of valves or by pass valves it just depends if it’s vta or fully recirculating

Nothing to change, no - There is a spring inside the EM valve, however there is never any need to change it. Turbosmart valves use a unique boost-balance system which means no amount of boost is ever too much. The EM's specifically have a super light spring for maximum response.

hi. did you sort it? mine isn't activating at all. I can run an output test using obdeleven on the oem valve and the solenoid activates, but this doesn't not activate anything with the dual port VR1 for vw/audi
