TURKEY BEACH TO EURIMBULA BRIDGE, MANGROVE JACKS AND FLATHEAD

Well today it was a bit windy so I decided to have a look right up the top of Turkey Beach up to the Eurimbula bridge. Was a quite morning but once the tides receded the fishing turned on producing a few nice Jack and a monster 76cm Flathead among a heap of other fish for the day. Its a longer video but hopefully you enjoy watching it. Feel free to drop me a message with any suggestions on a new rod and reel combo seeing that my other one has given up the ghost. back in the early to mid 2000's my uncle (Rest in Peace) owned a fishing hut nearby here and he used to take me and my siblings fishing, when you pulled up that stripey fish i immediately got hit with a sense of comfort, i remember how you aren't supposed to catch them, the whiting we caught was the most delicious whiting ever, and my uncle had aecret crab cage spots and he was amazing at it, thanks for the childhood memories mate ♥️

Another great vid mate. So much anticipation fishing those rocks! Very entertaining. Gotta love it when you see a spot and call it for a fish then manage to pull one out first cast.

What a great looking flathead! Interesting looking area, looks about 10km to the bridge there, good effort back against that current, but I'm sure you were still smiling throughout, after that massive head came up beside the yak!

That fish is just rewards for effort and persistence. Some days those two things are your best friend. I dropped one like that at Baffle last year and it still burns.

Haven't done to much up the Baffle and last time I was there chasing Jacks all I could get were Cod and Flathead. still an awesome system up the top of the Baffle. id love to get up there in the Kayak up top somewhere but I don't know where I could launch from.

Hey mate have you ever tried a baitcaster? There great for short range and EXTREMELEY accurate!!! Definitely recomend baitcaster for the fishing You do!

Yeah iv got a couple of bait casters but honestly i prefer to use the spin rods for some reason and still find them just as accurate.
