For four centuries Ottoman Empire dominated Christian Europe. After succumbing to the power of modern Europe, Ottoman sultans tried military, administrative, and political reforms. Nothing worked and the empire capitulated in WWI. Kemal Atatürk successfully led the war of independence and established the Republic of Turkey. Using Atatürk’s six principles, his party spearheaded top-down modernization and secularization of Turkish society. The era of multi-party democracy following WWII resulted in political and economic instability. In recent decades, Turkey has witnessed the resurgence of Islamic sentiments. Despite centuries of reforms, Turks remain split between liberal Western ideals and their Islamic-Ottoman heritage.

@Gulrez Rana They are Huns. Foreigners who now control the stupid north Indian Bhaiyyas with their white privilege. There is no Hindu or Indus valley civilization. It's just Harappan civilization and it went extinct with no clear succession. Hindu is not a culture or a religion but an ethnonym for the south Asians who don't have any Semitic religion.

There is Harappan civilization which went extinct. There is no point studying renamed 'Sindhu' civilization for you guys except archaeologists. Your own history is mostly fake and filled with religious indoctrination. You even don't have a proper culture or religion to claim for. Hinduism, Sanathana Dharma and Bharat were all 19th century things invented during British Raj.

I am a proud Be-Iman means I am proud Hindu & have gone through all your sessions/discussion.From your discussion what I have understood is that Islam & modernisation / secularism are not compatible with each other.Regarding past glory of Islamic Umma or Khalifat we can say that its main source of economy was nothing but plundering/ loot of other nations & Muslims have never produced anything worth a mention.Reg your theory of one party/autocratic rule being a precondition for development I am extremely sorry to say that it is nothing but a Mirage which is imbibed in your mind or I should say all the Muslims.Maybe Muslims believe in just a DANDA RAJ.When you give example of Singapore,China,Russia etc have devloped due to one party/autocratic rule you easily overlook Egypt,Yugoslavia,East Germany, Combodia,Poland,North Korea & many more countries who have failed even though they were under one party/autocratic rule for many decades.
