Ya know, I actually never thought of turkeys being in Minecraft. This is probably one of the best looking fan made ones. Now that I think about it, Mojang really should put more different bird species into the game, that would be very fascinating.

Imagine spawning and breeding a bunch of turkey and letting them run loose in your friends mega farm

This is EXTREMLY useful. You just need to make a giant Farm with a auto-collect system underneath (yeah there are many designes) and you need to trap a lot of of turkeys besides it. When the weat is fully grown you can release the turkeys and when they are done you can lure them back into the trap with seeds. Yes, you need to re-plant everything by your own but the turkeys did half of the job! I know that in some cases Water is is more efficient but imagnie showing your friends how turkeys work at your farm. It would be hilarious!

I actually really like the idea of turkeys in the game! I think it's a pretty cool mechanic how when you punch one, it'll run but the rest will attack you. I also like the crop eating mechanic, however I think it should only affect berries and wheat. Because of the fact that they attack you, maybe they should be partially rare, and only spawn in packs of two, unlike other mobs, which spawn in packs of four, or maybe they'll just do less damage. I also think if it eats a crop then iron golems will start attacking them, and this will allow unprotected villages to continue to strive. Additionally, I'm not really sure if we need another different kind of meat, so maybe they should change chicken meat into poultry, and turkeys would of course also drop feathers. The skeleton thing is weird, but it works in its own way.

ok. out of all of the Minecraft suggestion videos you've made, this definitely seems like the most polished and unique addon while still feeling like vanilla.

This is such a good mod, the turkeys are practically perfect! They're just like if Mojang added them! I'm sad though cause it doesn't seem like it'll reach the 25k mark and I really like this, I'd use it all the time.. If it DOES get released though, you should flesh it out a bit more! Have them drop feathers, have turkey eggs and baby turkeys, give them actual turkey noises, and maybe even one or two texture variants! Like a white one!

I think turkeys would be amazing. It would make it more necessary to protect your crops but I think they should only spawn in taiga and maybe in plains biomes but in small groups or pairs

You can have farmers plant crops in a farm then you make a Redstone gate so when you pull a lever it opens and turkeys harvest it the villagers grow it then turtles would go by you hitting them and they would follow you out then you pull lever when crops are done

Yes, for thanksgiving maybe or even other holidays. If they added them it should be like a cake mechanic so it is a block and you eat just a little each time

Omg the potential... Imagine what you could do with maps... The right kind of redstone and coordination you could give someone a map where the image changes like a slideshow. You can make TV! You could do so many things!

These turkeys could be really useful if you had them in little cages on the end of each row of the farm, and then once everything is fully grown you could release them and they would just mow down your entire farm.

I'd love to see this crop destruction feature placed into a Goose mob mod. Please make the horrible goose from untitled goose game. Make him drop a bell when he dies. And make him steal items from players hands and run off with them. But make sure he is also a nuisance to both villagers and hostile mobs. E/g stealing a skeletons bow or destroying all the crops/stealing the bell from a village

5:44 THIS SHOULD BE AN EVENT I mean as in you have the Pillager_patrol event so why not a Turky_rafter or like Crop_demolishment or something in that term where like 8-15 turkeys would spawn and sure as hell theyre after ur crops so that would be cool!

And biomes would get more variety along with Pigs/Cow/Sheep adding stuff like Yak’s or simple colors like minecraft earth with different colors of animals. And valleys (Ravines) would be updated

There should be a feature where even though there’s just one turkey that you hit there will be more that spawn behind your back every five to ten seconds. Luckily there will only be a limited of four extra turkeys.

I like the game design. You could have a farm and let the turkeys out for harvest. Different elements of farming interacting gives life to the whole thing.

At first I thought them destroying crops would be bad for villages but it just pushes the player to help improve the village. Also the Turkey should be able to heal like 5-6 hunger bars.

I think they would be kind of cool, especially if you could place the turkey meat like a cake. I like the idea of them eating crops but I think I would make that occurrence a bit more rare so they just don't become massive annoying lawn mowers.

I was hoping you'd use my suggestion of making the cooked trukey a placable item like cake. Think of the decoration possibilities!
