Just a travel tip, in crowded places like metro stations wear your backpack ULTA (so that it covers your chest). Saves your cash/valuables from getting stolen

We were about to cross a bridge with our daughter in pram. A boy rushed in to help us with the stairs with “NO ENGLISH”. As soon as we crossed the bridge, he said can I have your phone to make an urgent call. I apologised and moved on. Wife said I was seeing this guy noticing us for quite a while before he offered to help, so unknowingly, avoided a mishap in my opinion Beautiful city though

Turkey has one of the best public transport. I highly recommend using public transport instead of Taxis. Travellers, you can even use it from the Airport.

I am also victim. I purchased something from Turkish Street foot path and pick wallet out of pocket to pay lira. A person besides me watching my wallet & got emotional to see Pak 1000 Rupee note & requested me to touch Pak Rupees as his Grandparents are from Pak. I also got much emotional.When i gave it to him he dropped his Ball Pen from his second hand i quickly bent myself to pick his ball pen to give it to him. As i stood & see him he was not there. For few minutes i kept thinking what strange thing happened.

One more thing, be careful in restaurants. Always look for menu, sometimes they don’t give you menu and insist to provide you the food of their choice. At the end you will receive a huge bill, it happened to us in Istanbul.

So true bhai, one of the incidents happen to me with metro... i knew the usual rate, and this driver was charging 4x the amount... if he argues in turkish, you argue back 2x loudly in urdu... wargya turki pakistani brother brother...they will always use this tense with you... they dont know that we are kullu harami too....stay safe Pakistanis

Turkey is a fantastic place. Just like any western country, most of the scams take place due to lack of knowledge and for that very reason, this video serves the purpose. However, what Junaid didn't mention is that most of the scams are done by non Turkish people - and a lot of them are from our neighboring country.

While I agree that you have to be a careful traveler in any city, but I have been here for a couple of years now. I have never faced any of these issues, and I live in Istanbul. Maybe I am too lucky :D. Last week a taksi driver offered me a ride for free because he was going to the airport and my destination was in the way. And I have seen people genuinely light up once I mention I am from Pakistan.

@Shaban Ahmad wtf is 60-70%. Even Pakistani government is established by only 5% population vote but is regarded as government for whole country. Not all of Turkey is aware or interested in Pak-Turk relationship, 'mostly' people are just nice for the sake of being nice and some are fraudster because that's what they do whether they are in Pak or Turk or any other country.

Been to turkey 4 times that too solo,never been scammed or anything even close! Always avoided tourist hotspots and preferred local places. Next time when you visit Istanbul do visit the Asian side of the city.

I ve been there twice! I scam happened with me and my family , we had booked a package and among the itinerary there was a chairlift but it wasn’t mentioned which one as there were many so we hoped in one of them knowing we have it in our package. After having it our local Turkish guide asked us to pay for it, it was 100 lira per person and we were 6.We had no other option but to pay as they didn’t understood what we say . We were scammed by the local.

I would like to clear some things for the people who are planing to move in turkey Language ka masla bhot hai idher Do number pakistani bhi hain idher jo aapko (TRC) turkish residence ka choona laga kar lakhon ruppee lay jaatay hain best way is to contact a lawyer 3) puray instabul me taxi walay lira laytay hain kuch log kahay gay aap europe side me aye hain yahan euro chalta hai aisa bilkul ni hai istanbul ki Europe side me bhi lira chalta hai 4)taxi drivers idher jaan k long route see jatay hain its best k aap google map ka istamal karen aur taxi me bethnay se phelay taxi driver ko kahay meter reset kare

One of my Pakistani friends who got scammed outside a club in Istanbul. He thought at first that the man was being nice to him. But in reality he was scamming him. I forgot to warn him that be careful in Istanbul. I wonder how many tourists get scammed every year. It sucks that you are excited to visit some country and in return you get scammed. Government should take some serious action against these scammers otherwise this will prevent tourists from visiting the country.

Yeh taxi waala mere saath hogaya hai. If you ask them to drop near your hotel, they will always stop the taxi few meters ahead and middle of the road.
