I think the guy on the buzzer was thinking the day before could actually be the day of if the time he shopped was within 24 hours of the time he presented her with the present. To alleviate this ambiguity he decided to buzz the answer. After a nudge from a cohort he decided to accept it.

It's probably because more people get fillings. If someone has never had a root canal then they don't know how much they hate it. Same with having a wisdom tooth removed, that should have been high on the hate list too.

I've had both fillings and a root canal, and the root canal was definitely more painful. Which the results surprised me as well.
