That episode had a child with autism. When Scott was talking to the kid about a man who broke into their home, Scott put his hand on the child's arm or something and the kid started screaming like an alarm. Then the dog who was outside heard the child, ran to the house with the plant he was tied to and approaches the kid and the kid pets the dog's head. One thing about dogs is that they're generally great with children. Especially developmentally challenged children. Scott was hired to look after the mother and child because that guy apparently was an assassin or something
