I see a lot of negative comments on this video, but not much constructive feedback. One thing I think should've been stressed is that simple is good for certain genres, but it depends what kind of beat you're making (instrumental is going to be arranged and mixed much differently than one that will have a vocal on top) so in this case you'd want it to be as simple as possible to give room for the vocal, but if it was just instrumental I think it sounded a bit boring/repetitive. There is such thing as too simple. I think an idea for a future video could be how to make each section a little more engaging for instrumental genres (without vocals)

"Just so you know, the beat I'm about to play is terrible..." Me: Obviously you've never heard of JJIceFish or Tay Zonday... It was okay for a base idea. The synth melody in there just didn't seem to fit. Now let me finish watching your video and see what you've turned it into. 😊
